Solid Rock
I'll first say that I find the lyrics on this CD a little banal. "My idea of fun is killing everyone," for example. Guess what, though? I don't listen to Iggy Pop and the Stooges for the words, but for huge steaming helpings of rock and roll. In this case, they deliver. Iggy is, of course, Iggy and Ron Asheton's guitar still cuts like a laser through warm butter. More mayhem ensues when Sax maniac Scott Mackay joins the lineup. This music begs to be played loud, and I'm willing to comply.

Rock and Roll
Turn up the sound, change your normal audio settings and listen to it more than once. Pure staight ahead rock with no adolesent moanings of childhood traumas that seem to be so prevalent in rock today.

doesn't add, doesn't take away
As a serious music fan for much of my life, I have just loved the notion of comeback albums by bands like the New York Dolls, Budgie, and now the Stooges. In this case however, the album is okay yet nothing to write home about. It is definitely a Stooges album in sound and intent but there are just no ready made classics like Raw Power, Search & Destroy, I Wanna Be Your Dog, TV Eye etc. I agree with the basic sentiment that this record adds nothing to their legend status nor does it take anything away. You get about half an album's worth of good material while the other half is mostly forgettable.

DO NOT BUY
Just listen to the clips. The entire album isn't any better. Why?

Some things should be left alone
Stooges died long time ago. They left us with timeless music. Now they decide to use the name for a fast buck. This album is so bad, that I'm shamed that I bought it. I'm shock that Iggy let this album to be released. There is no power or anonce of energy in any of these songs. Even Iggy sounds bad on this album. Sounded like he did not even care. Save your money!
