On its second full-length studio album, SANTI, the Academy Is follows in the emo-goes-pop footsteps of fellow Illinois act Fall Out Boy by adding both gloss and heft to its sensitive-guy, punk-influenced sound. Easing the Academy lads into their more expansive approach is in-demand producer/performer Butch Walker, who gives each track a sterling sheen, as evinced on the wiry "LAX to O'Hare" and the catchy lead single, "We've Got a Big Mess on Our Hands." Although some Academy diehards may be put off by the group's more accessible aesthetic, SANTI shows that a broader palette suits the band just fine.

Amazing.
I've been a of TAI for a few years now and I can easily say that they are my favourite band, ever. They never fail to amaze me.
Also, if you guys can get your hands on their EP that came out in 2004 (which is unfortunately sold out), I encourage you to listen to it. It's great.
If they are in your town or country, see them! They are just breath taking.

This is probably one of the greatest cds you'll ever hear. Not just because the songs are catchy but the lyrics and overall theme to each song is incredible.
