Three CD music. Temo is a Kurdish singer and composer exiled in France since 1975. From France, he has worked hard to let the world know of his natal Kurdistan of which he keep singing about. He uses the traditional Kurdish long-necked lute, the tembūr, accompanied by a small tambourine, the arbana. His songs are written in the traditional Kurdish style, with the least influence possible from Western music. Three songs. This re-release of the self-titled "The Parasites of the Western World's" first album in 1978 is because, now almost thirty years later, the original pressings (their were only 1500 ever made) are still in circulation among private collectors. The album goes for more than $500. 00 in some cases (no kidding-see Gemm). For those who don't care to spend that kind of money and would simply like a nice clean copy of the music, here it is. In addition there is a bonus cut, "Zytol Automation" which was the first song recorded after the album was completed, and featured on the B-side of the Parasites' only 45. The A-side was the still relevant "Politico". The Parasites of the Western World are generally acknowledged to have been ahead of their time in the Avant Rock genre.
