Isn't This A Lovely Day album
$15.39 "The Chairman of the Board" died in May of 1998, yet his music sounds as vital and relevant today as ever. Released on the 10th anniversary of his death--in coordination with a slew of DVD releases commemorating the singer's acting career as well as an official U.S. Postal Service stamp--NOTHING BUT THE BEST provides an excellent look at Sinatra's tenure at the Reprise label. Among the album's 22 vintage cuts are classics such as "The Way You Look Tonight," "Luck Be a Lady," "Strangers in the Night," and "My Way." The disc also contains a bonus track in ...
| | Michael Buble It's Time CD (2005)
Isn't This A Lovely Day CD music
$11.65 Michael Buble's third major US release (including the mostly live COME FLY WITH ME) stays on message--this young Canadian loves the lush, swaying music of his parents' and grandparents' generations. Buble's albums, however, are much more than mere back-in-the-day exercises. The production and arranging of David Foster (Celine Dion, Josh Groban) is eclectic in a way that firmly places the tunes at the dawn of the 21st century, and, more importantly, Buble possesses the chops and sense of style to re-imagine the adult-contemporary vocal genre in a distinctive manner. In addition to standards by Gershwin and Porter, Buble embraces a variety of sounds, from Motown ("How Sweet It Is") to bossa nova ("Quando, Quando, Quando" with Nelly Furtado) to the Beatles ("Can't Buy Me Love" with a "She Loves You" tag). With his smooth croon and charming persona, Buble is a natural performer, and, for fans of fearlessly romantic and infectiously swinging music, IT'S TIME is a sure bet.
Although it took more than a year of concerts and promotional appearances, Michael Bublé's 2003 debut disc of swinging pop standards finally ascended ...

| | Thrill Machine Steampunk Project CD (2008)
Isn't This A Lovely Day album
$9.29 THRILL MACHINE GETS PERSONAL WITH STEAMPUNK The follow-up to the band's 2005 release, EVOKE Album review: Atlanta, GA - October 11th, 2007Local heroes, party band, power trio, unlikely collection of characters - over the past decade Thrill Machine has grown from their 'retro in the metro' reputation into full-blown recording artists, and it really shows on their latest release, STEAMPUNK PROJECT (Brainstorm Ltd. Media). For the uninitiated, the term 'Steampunk' does not describe a musical style, but a type of fantasy and speculative fiction; an art form that denotes works set in an era or world where steam power is still widely used-usually in the Victorian era. The striking 'steampunk' guitar depicted on the CD cover ties in great with the band's 'Thrill Machine' name and logo, and the song-writing and music itself is also peppered with elements of 'steampunk' styles, themes, and ideals.STEAMPUNK PROJECT as a whole, however, is in fact a diverse assembly of music - spanning blues, art rock, classic rock, southern rock, power pop and alternative/new rock, containing industrial and nu metal overtones, all delivered with thoughtful intensity and the kind of variety inherent in a multi-gender band with three lead singers (drummer Stan Barker, bassist Tamara Frank and guitarist Brian Holcomb all sing lead vocals). STEAMPUNK PROJECT comments on very personal, mature and sometimes dark subjects, ranging from adultery ('Now That We Both Know'), persecution and hate crimes ('You Don't Know'), recovery from a devastating heartbreak ('Spread Your Wings'), and addiction ('Beloved Addict') to themes of manipulation and self-loathing ('Compromise My Principles') - the latter song written about the real-life victim of a violent crime by a lover. Social commentary is also plentiful, with songs like 'Soccer Mom' which examines a mother's ...
