Crystal Dove CD

Born in Miami but raised in Atlanta singer/songwriter Crystal Dove is no stranger to the big city or a big sound. Possessing strong acting, dance, classical and commercial voice foundations she has celebrated and utilized her love for the performing arts ever since she was a child. Her first starring roll in a kindergarten production sparked an intense passion and love for performing, communicating, and sharing her heart with any audience willing to pay attention. Through many voice lessons, stage productions, dance classes, and jam sessions Crystal has found her unique musical flavor, a sound that is best described as "Big n' Loud".This discovery of her "Big n' Loud"-ness was made during an extensive journey through vocal instruction, auditions, productions, and a strict practice regimen. But she did not make this trek alone. Traveling alongside her have been her faithful voice teachers (including but not limited to) Vicki Gray, Sandra Dudley, and Marjorie Halbert. A graduate of Belmont University in Nashville, TN Ms. Dove enjoyed and participated in the "Nashvegas" culture. She was heavily involved in the underground urban scene which includes R&B, soul, jazz, hip-hop, funk, and the "Lovenoise" hour. Crystal is greatly influenced and inspired by such legendary divas as Aretha Franklin, Ella Fitzgerald, Natalie Cole, and Patti LaBelle. Her style is a fusion of Soul/R&B/Jazz with a little Funk-Rock and Latin thrown in. Ms. Dove is guaranteed to get you rockin' out to some true music of the heart. Currently Ms. Dove is writing and recording her debut CD as well as touring the US to promote her upcoming release. Crystal Dove's one desire is to share her message with the world carried on the wings of a song. And just what is that message? Simply this: No matter what you believe or where you come from, you were created with a purpose and destiny that only you can achieve. Therefore live excellently, dream big, and never give up.
