Sunshine House 2007 album
$10.89 Digitally remastered by Bernie Grundman (Bernie Grundman Mastering, Los Angeles, California).
Jackson's domination of the world record market continued following Thriller, although by comparison it was an almighty flop with only 12 million sales. As Pink Floyd and Dire Straits have proved, one album can go completely sales haywire without necessarily being any better. The title track and the gorgeous "Man In The Mirror" were substantial hits, but quality material such as "Dirty Diana" and "Liberian Girl" bolster a strong album. Jackson also seemed to have found the romance he seeks in "I Just Can't Stop Loving You" and "The Way You Make Me Feel." Regardless of his press, history clearly shows that he has made a lot of people very, very ...
| | Michael Jackson Number Ones CD (2003)
Sunshine House 2007 CD music
$10.65 The 1990s may not have been kind to Michael Jackson on a commercial level, due to fickle music tastes and assorted personal controversies, but NUMBER ONES reinforces Jackson's place in pop culture history. Unlike its preceding compilation, HIStory, this anthology trims the fat, although occasionally going overboard in leaving off certified chart-toppers like the Paul McCartney duet "Say Say Say" in lieu of lesser-known, latter-day fare like "Earth Song."
That said, casual fans of the Gloved One will still feast on plenty, ranging from dance classics like "Don't ...

| | Jacksons Triumph CD (2009) Bonus Tracks
Sunshine House 2007 songs
$10.89 The Jacksons kicked open the door to the '80s with the appropriately titled TRIUMPH. Michael Jackson's gigantic success a year earlier with his platinum-selling OFF THE WALL fueled this album, which heavily features his scorching vocals and hitmaking production sensibilities.
With all songs written and produced by the Jacksons, the album begins with the orchestral bombast of "Can You Feel It," complete with child and adult choirs; it's a big song with a monumental production. Entering a new phase of their career mixing spooky spirituality with unimpeachably funky beats, the Jacksons feature a number of hits, notably the sentimental boogie of "Lovely One," the paranoid lyrics and chugging ...
| | Notorious B I G Ready To Die CD (1994) With DVD; Reissue; Remastered
Sunshine House 2007 album
$13.35 Once he stepped out onto the scene as the rapper on the remix of Mary J. Blige's hit single "Real Love," many hip-hop fanatics anxiously awaited the debut of The Notorious B.I.G. a.k.a. Biggie Smalls. Their prayers were answered with READY TO DIE, fifteen tracks of uncut, hard-core, lyrically sophisticated rap all complemented by hypnotic beats supplied by the underground's most prominent producers. READY TO DIE resumes where his "Juicy" single left off, but separates itself from the array of hip-hop albums that don't live up to the initial hit.
Blowin' up the charts using his knowledge of the streets and hard bangin' snares provided by producer Easy Mo Bee, the Bedford-Stuyvesant native Notorious B.I.G. is far from "Ready To Die." Not since the likes of Slick Rick has there been an artist so successful in the storytelling genre of rap music, creating a mental picture of life in the heads of his listeners. The up-tempo "Gimme The Loot" illustrates the hustlin' ways of a trigger-happy robbery expert stressed from the "Everyday Struggle" of life. The recurrence of the Isley Brothers tune "Between The Sheets" adds to the charm of "Big Poppa," where Biggie portrays ...

| | Meat Loaf VH1 Storytellers CD (1999)
Sunshine House 2007 songs
$10.49 Given his flair for drama and audience communication, VH1 STORYTELLERS was a natural choice for Meat Loaf. This CD captures all the charisma and bombast that is Mr. Loaf, all within an intimate setting that works perfectly.
If there were ever songs that deserved the Storyteller treatment, those songs are Meat Loaf's. Audience members comment on and ask questions about tunes that they grew up with and feel were written for THEM. Meat Loaf explains that "More Than You Deserve" was the first Jim Steinman-penned composition he ever sang, and that it was in a downtown production of the same name. Meat also explains that the original length for Steinman's "Paradise by the Dashboard Light" was 27 minutes, before proceeding into a wonderfully theatrical version of it. Patti Russo's powerful vocals complement Meat's wonderfully. Meat explains how "Bat Out of Hell" was inspired by PSYCHO and launches a rockin' rendition of the 11-minute opus. The beautiful bonus studio track "Is Nothing Sacred" rounds out the disc. ...
