| | Michael Buble It's Time CD (2005)
Misekakeno I Love You CD music
$11.65 Michael Buble's third major US release (including the mostly live COME FLY WITH ME) stays on message--this young Canadian loves the lush, swaying music of his parents' and grandparents' generations. Buble's albums, however, are much more than mere back-in-the-day exercises. The production and arranging of David Foster (Celine Dion, Josh Groban) is eclectic in a way that firmly places the tunes at the dawn of the 21st century, and, more importantly, Buble possesses the chops and sense of style to re-imagine the adult-contemporary vocal genre in a distinctive manner. In addition to standards by Gershwin and Porter, Buble ...

| | Dead Can Dance Within The Realm Of A Dying Sun CD (1987) Reissue; Special Edition
Misekakeno I Love You album
$11.99 WITHIN THE REALM OF A DYING SUN sees Dead Can Dance utilizing both string and brass instruments more than they had previously, which gives the music an organic feel. Though some synthesized effects are still present, the floating, ethereal effect that the tracks inspire is based almost entirely on the cavernous echoes that DCD incorporates into its music and on the vocals of Brendan Perry and Lisa Gerrard, who sings four songs to Perry's three (the ...
| | Beats Antique Collide CD (2008)
Misekakeno I Love You CD music
$11.99 Beats Antique came together to make music for Miles Copeland's Bellydance Superstars extravaganzas. On Collide they expand their palette beyond the obvious sounds of Middle Eastern grooves to incorporate Balkan wedding music, flamenco, French Gypsy jazz, hip-hop, and dub reggae into their dark entrancing soundscapes. The measured funk of "Beauty Beats" opens the set with a catchy melodic hook played on the saz (Turkish lute) by David Satori, complemented by Sidecar Tommy's dark cello and a flurry of hand drums. "Dope Crunk" adds hip-hop and bent electro beats to the mix. The melody is picked up by a sax and clarinet that float over and around clay drums and computer percussion effects. "Sweet Demure" is a quiet desert tango marked by long sustained notes played on accordion and the subtle squawking of electro percussion. "Roustabout" sounds like Balkan circus hip-hop played by a reggae band; "Caterpillar" is a 9/8 groove borrowed ...
| | Sweet First Recordings 1968-1971 CD (2002)
Misekakeno I Love You music CDs
$11.65 The glam rock of the Sweet were an infectious and fun '70s treat from England, and this release gathers some of their earliest recordings.
Sweet's earliest recordings -- the clutch of 45s issued in the U.K. and Europe between 1968 and 1971 -- made it out in a variety of forms in the years following the band's initial breakthrough. Strangely, however, it was not until 1991 -- a full 20 years after "Funny Funny" gave them their long-awaited first hit -- that the entire canon was pulled together, as Repertoire raided the vaults not only of Fontana and Parlophone, the band's first two labels, but also visited some less-familiar directions as well. The bulk of First Recordings 1968-1971 -- tracks one through eight -- comprises all four original singles, a mixed bag that ran from the unadulterated pop of "Lollipop Man" ...
