Archetypes And Repetition album
$9.69 On their seventh full-length album, this Wisconsin-based quartet continues to pursue their heavy, hooky vision of what Christian music can be. Explosive drumming, molasses-thick guitar, and bewitching prog-metal melodies create a highly charged emotional atmosphere from which their lyrical meditations take flight. Even with a lyric sheet, it's hard to distinguish this from good old-fashioned devil's music, as the band probes topics like alienation, longing, and addiction without providing any pat sermons or answers. ...

Archetypes And Repetition music CDs
$14.89 Nearly four years after 2003's NATURAL SELECTION, Fuel finally returned with its follow-up, ANGELS & DEVILS. In the interim, the Pennsylvania-based rock band endured the departure of vocalist Brett Scallions and drummer Kevin Miller, along with a failed attempt to recruit popular AMERICAN IDOL finalist Chris Daughtry. This '07 outing finds Fuel revitalized, thanks largely to the presence of new singer Toryn Green, who tones down the neo-grunge drama in favor of a slightly subtler approach (see the mid-tempo anthem "Wasted Time"). While not a radical departure for the neo-grunge act, ANGELS does mark ...
| | 12 Stones Anthem For The Underdog CD (2007)
Archetypes And Repetition songs
$9.65 Jesus was the most popular (posthumously at least) underdog in history, so it comes as no surprise that CCM band 12 Stones would devote their third album to that aspect of His divinity. What does surprise, however, is the almost prog-rock complexity that such a simple sentiment inspires. With interesting guitar leads that explore all the possibilities of the bottom strings, and almost symphonic ...

Archetypes And Repetition music CDs
$21.29 With his Bowie-on-a-bender voice and Teddy Boy-gone-punk image, singer Vaughn Toulouse was a born rock star. Unfortunately the Department S frontman only got as far as a couple of minor early-1980s hits with his band, and died of AIDS in 1991. This anthology captures a young British band filtering everything from glam to James Bond scores ...

Archetypes And Repetition music CDs
$14.36 Raise Hell could just as well be another Swedish metal band, if it wasn't for one particular ability these guys have... it's the ability to develop their own musical style into something entirely different than expected. For over ten years the group released four albums, each showcasing a brand new quality in metal music. The exclusive reissue of 'Wicked Is My Game' introduces a metal act that is fully aware of their strength and potential. Whether they took on death, black, heavy or thrash metal, the result was always the same - total destruction! The band's third LP was recorded in 2002 in the Flat Planet studio, again with Anders Fridn turning the knobs. While the music was still kept in the spirit of the previous album, 'Wicked Is My Game' welcomed new additions to the band's mixture, such as power metal and ...

Archetypes And Repetition Music Review Average Rating: (4.8 out of 5 stars) A unique sound that rocks! I would buy this again in a heartbeat! Several really good songs and an awesome sound. Submitted by donna (Fillmore, MO, USA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
Finally something to yearn for if only 39 minutes for size! This is the first time, in a long time, that this band does a decent job in a cover tune of En Vogue's 'Don't Let Go' on here. This proves to be a good showcase on what's up with the southern tip of the States. It could do good to beef up the competition, shall we? I want some good old rock coming out for showcasing if what's not already washed up on the mainstream, ie 3DD anyone? Whether it be some old-school or old-fashioned, it's a shame not to hear some from out of nowhere for a change like this one.
It's a dandy. Submitted by Hmmm-mmm (Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
Deepfield is a supernova This CD is full of great guitar licks, huge drums and bass, and great vocals both hard and melodic.
It will grab you from the first song, and keep you listening until the last.
Superb!!
