Purchase In My Ghetto CD To buy, Click on price to add to cart | Clipse Til The Casket Drops CD (2009)
In My Ghetto album
$9.58 Had Clipse made a concerted attempt to outstrip Hell Hath No Fury, Til the Casket Drops would have likely come out sounding like self-parody. The Thorntons' previous set was so cold, lean, and efficient, the product of the circumstances under which it was made, that it is impossible to imagine an album ...
| | Timbaland Shock Value II CDs (2009) Deluxe Edition
In My Ghetto CD music
$16.90 Shock Value produced a pair of smash singles in "Give It to Me" and "The Way I Are," thus necessitating a sequel. Timbaland does not stock Shock Value II with quite as many guests, and performs a higher percentage of the vocals, and what results is less schizophrenic and more directly pop than its antecedent. The highs here are not as high, and the lows are as low, unless you consider the very presence of Chad Kroeger and Daughtry, or the unveiling of Brandy's rapping alter ego Bran' Nu, to be more odious than a sub-Coldplay ballad. What does come through is that the producer has his sight set on a younger crowd, a notion apparent through the appearances from Miley Cyrus and Jojo, ...

| | Jamal Follow Your Bliss CD (2006)
In My Ghetto album
$13.15 "This cat is telling a beautiful story! For a profound lesson on the subject of musical insights 'Follow Your Bliss' is a must own disc!" -Brent-Anthony Johnson (For the full review,,,keep reading!) Exploding onto the scene with his jaw dropping Bass Improvisations, Jamal Hurse has been compared to sounding like 'Jaco on Acid!' and is fast becoming known as a 'musician's musician' that EVERYONE can enjoy. Born with a profound hearing loss, Jamal is a Solo Instrumentalist, who has developed his own innovative style weaving multiple layers of melody and sounds at the same time, whatt you hear is how he played it! Insisting that the music be human, full of passion and emotion, Jamal at times has little regard to meter or tempo. It is truly a fantastic ride that he takes us on, riding the waves of sound that he produces through his Fretless 4-string Bass. There is no denying that this music comes from another realm, and that not everyone who hears it is prepared for its impact. Influenced by Artists such as Beethoven, Ornette Coleman, Jimi Hendrix, Charlie Parker, Mike Watt, Angelo Moore, Louis Armstrong, Al DiMeola, Ronnie ...

| | Tonex Oak Park 921'06 Japan CD (2006) Japanese Import
In My Ghetto songs
$13.69 As any believer will tell you, the road to righteousness is a rough one, which Tonex confirms on "Fail U," a blistering Christian rocker that takes inspiration from Robert Plant, Queen, and the Lord of course. But by stumbling, Tonex has finally learned it's not about him, but the Lord, as he eloquently explains on "You." Not all are ready to see the light though, and so on "holy-NESS" Tonex stops preaching to the choir, and goes toe to toe with the club scene, hitting them hard with hip-hop beats, powerful female gospel vocals, and a sermon laced with humor. Skipping deftly across musical genres -- blues, gospel, hip-hop, and R&B, the singer preaches God's love, the many gifts He will bestow on the faithful, and the guidance He can provide. "Yes" is Tonex's epistle, a rich R&B love letter to the Lord himself. The album ends on a high note with the upbeat "HUP!," an irresistible gospel club raver. Seen through the prism of this set, Tonex appears to have made peace with himself, whether the gospel scene will grant him forgiveness is still to be seen. Syntax certainly hopes so, offering up a glorious set of love and spiritual rebirth. ~ Jo-Ann Greene
For no reason, some stars at the peak of their careers seemed programmed to self-destruct. The rock world is filled with such senseless acts; in the comedy world, Dave Chappelle is a shining example, an immensely popular comedian who inexplicably threw his career away. And then there's Tonex, the ferociously talented singer-producer who was the doyen of the gospel world. After releasing two magnificent studio albums and a breathtaking live set, in 2006 Tonex bizarrely burned all his bridges, stormed out on his label Verity, and scathingly condemned the entire scene and its top artists. The following ...
| | Nirvana Live At Reading CD (2009)
In My Ghetto album
$12.55 Certain concerts create a legend as soon as the final note ceases to ring. Nirvana's headlining appearance at the 1992 Reading Festival is one of these shows, a concert that arrived at precisely the right moment and stands as testament to a band at the peak of its powers...and right before things started to turn sour within the Nirvana camp. Despite the happy news of the birth of Frances Bean Cobain ...
