“(Poeta) is, indeed, a lovely and personable CD with music for everyone to enjoy.”--Sue Few - KRBS Radio“...dig in to the feast. This is delicious peaceful music that would be at home as a meditation accompaniment as well as a soundtrack.”--RadioMike“Al's created an amazing musical experience on this CD.”--Pete Havey - Mystic Soundscapes RadioWhile Al's debut album 'Shadows' took us on a journey searching within one's own deepest self, POETA invites the listener on a different journey, exploring a landscape of emotions woven by the poetry of music through eleven magical tracks.Travel through musical valleys and peaks to discover Orpheus and his unrelenting quest to retrieve his lost love in the haunting opening track 'Quest for Orpheus.' Dream along with the tales of Homer's 'Iliad.' Find yourself wishing for 'Evangeline,' the young Victorian maiden, to find true love as she sits by the sea, day after day with her book of poems. And then find that true love in the movement of 'Danzante' and the power of 'Abstract Desire.' Feel the quill of 'Poeta' inspire the world through a tapestry of enchantment. And, as every book must end, feel yourself transported with the final rendering 'Epilogos' and its timeless prayer. From the first note to the last, Al Conti's album features ethnic instruments such as the hurdy gurdy, udu, sitar and tablas as well as classical violins and cellos, haunting ambient vocals and beautiful guitar solos.Al Conti is a recipient of several awards for his work. His latest album Scheherazade topped the New Age Reporter Top 100 Chart at number 1 for three consecutive months, in October, November and December, 2008. The album also garnered four NAR Lifestyle Music Awards nominations, including 'Album of the Year', and won 'Best World Album' of 2008. Scheherazade also headed many 'Top 10' and 'Best of' lists on dozens of radios around the world. His album Poeta was used as part of NPR's fundraising efforts in 2007 and his recording Quest for Orpheus, from the same album, received a “Best of 2007” Award from Mystic Soundscapes Radio. The album Poeta headed the top 10 of 2007 lists at KCCK Radio and Origen Music, and was a featured selection at WMNR Radio throughout Connecticut in April, 2008. Reviewers have praised Al’s work as “delicious, peaceful music,” “intricate,” “personable,” and expressing a “lovely humanity and positive spirit.” In 2008, Al Conti joined Kevin Bacon, Jessica Alba, Will & Grace's Shelley Morrison and other celebrities lending his name to the Until There’s A Cure foundation to help raise funds for HIV/AIDS awareness and research. A native of Buenos Aires, Argentina, now living in Vermont, USA, Al has appeared in many theatre productions as well as television commercials and shows such as CBS' daytime drama 'As The World Turns.' Al began seriously working on music 17 years ago, but it was not until a near death experience that he undertook music full time. Al comes from a family of deeply talented individuals. His grandfather was a concert pianist while Al's mother was a ballerina and his father a professor and poet. His extended family includes the late 1800's Argentinean famed writer Miguél Cané. $22.79 Following is some comments from indidviduals who heard this CD and used the CD but had no prior experience traveling in Egypt! My name is Laurie. I briefly met you at the co-creation workshop in Minneapolis through my sister Cindy Distasio. I purchased your CD. I am grateful that you have put that into the world. While deep into toning with 2nd CD I experienced pain swirling in my heart chakra area, like a storm it gathered and became quite uncomfortable. I was instructed to continue to feel it and that it would soon break up and be over and that it was a necessary part of the experience. I was then led by an anonymous Egyptian to Babaji (whom I know nothing about), Babaji told me I was stupid and to use this Cd a lot. The next day I was given a book about Babaji after narrating my experience and read that he had symptoms of stabbing pains in his chest area before his death. When I realized that Babaji was there laughing and encouraging me to thank you. I send you a heart-felt thank you. Laurie ***I went through the first two tracks with your soothing voice and going through the meditation fine but when I heard the chamber portion I was blown away. I had not really heard any of the recording before, but I found it so powerful that I had to withdraw a little. I could already feel it taking me away and my agenda the first time, was to listen to it's components and try to separate the different sounds from each other. I am trying to hear the voice of the pyramid itself and have yet to be satisfied that I am hearing it even after 3 or 4 times. When I let that go, I find that different portions of my consciousness/sub-consciousness are pulled to separate planes. I have found it most useful for meditation all the way through to sleeping because it affects the brain waves on different levels. I found this CD unique in that I have no focusing to do, the sounds are the vehicle.Love, Donna***As I listened I was immediately transported to the King’s Chamber. I was lying in the sarcophagus. There I lay until I felt myself being shot out of the top of the point the pyramid as if being shot our of a canon. Looking below me I saw the pyramid as it become smaller and smaller. I was being taken up and up through a space of nothingness. As this happened I saw several event in my life in a different perspective. I heard myself exclaim, “Oh, as if I understood the event clearly for the first time!” Then I came to the end of one galaxy and was shot into another. On I traveled. The next think I knew I was back. The chanting continued and I exclaimed, What just happened? This ...

$14.79 Johnny Duke and the Aces is a young, high-energy blues band inspired by Texas and Delta blues, Jazz, and Rock styles. They play both originals and covers, with covers varying from Robert Johnson to Jimi Hendrix. The band recently returned from a trip to Los Angeles where they shot a music video for a new original tune called "Don't Feel Too Good", which is going to be featured on their new album (entitled "Taillights", scheduled for release on June 16th at World Cafe Live in Philadelphia). The video can be seen on the band's website, myspace and Sonicbids EPK site."Johnny Duke" Lippincott is an inspiration to guitarists all around the Delaware area. Having Mississippi roots, the Delta-blues style of music is frequently evident in his guitar playing. David Bromberg, Johnny's mentor, said in the international magazine Dirty Linen, "If you stick around tonight, there's a 16-year old guitar player who is as good a blues guitar player as any I've ever played with, and I've played with some really good guitar players. That's John Lippincott. He's a killer!" Just recently, Bromberg said in an article of the Philadelphia Inquirer that Johnny is "the best electric blues player in town". With Johnny Duke and the Aces, John continues to impress people with his showmanship, his talented songwriting, and his guitar skills that are graceful, moving, and "professional", as recently stated by the King of the Blues himself, B.B. King. He will be attending Berklee School of Music in Boston in Fall 2006.While on the prowl to find band members, John had a specific structure and sound in mind; a four piece with a lot of raw power and talent, to match his level. And that is what he got. Cam Tyler, an experienced and talented drummer, fit right in when he started jamming with Johnny. By applying his inspirations from Funk, ...
