For his third solo album, underrated West Coast gangsta Dub-C split with Def Jam, and signed to his old Westside Connection bandmate Ice Cube's label. He's joined by Ice, the Game, producer Rick Rock, and a host of others on gritty, cinematic tales of ghetto life, leavened with touches of humor and masterful, R&B-flecked musicality. It's not so much the beats or the production that make a WC album, it's the deft, hard-hitting rhymes, found in abundance here on tracks like "This Is Los Angeles" and "West Coast Voodoo."
As rap has become ubiquitous, its artists have moved slowly but steadily away from the street-centered mentality that made the music so potent in the 1980s and early 1990s. Realizing that rap has lost its edge and intensity, Los Angeles rap icon and Westside Connection member WC returns rap to its creative roots -- exemplary lyricism, conceptual greatness, bone-crushing production -- on his masterful new album, Guilty By Affiliation.

One of the Top Albums of 2007. Dub at his best assisted by Ice cube.
Stand Out Tracks 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 9, 12 and 14.
On Track 6, WC rhymes blends with Butch Cassidy and Snoop Dogg comes rapping hard at the end.
Check out track 12 featuring Ice Cube. Ice Cube rips it from the start.
One of the top albums you can bump without having to skip so many tracks.

Veteran West Coast O.G, WC, spits straight FIRE from beginning to end on this album!! Ice Cube handles the production, and let me say, does an amazing job. WC's lyrics are tight, clever, and just straight FLOW with the clever beats by Ice Cube.
This is without a doubt the best West Coast album of the year. So glad WC finally got his chance to SHINE after all these years of being in the background.
I really like how Ice Cube resurrected LENCH MOB as the name of his label, and now is totally Independent. Thanks to Cube, WC finally should have his time...

Binga & Gogo's collaboration is a natural extension of a lifelong link; a story spread across three continents and two lifetimes, with reference points including a Federal prison and Disneyland.Binga & Gogo are siblings; soul mates on a remarkable musical mission. She is the vocalist, a Euro-pop chanteuse one second, heart-melting soul poetess the next. He is a bandleader and arranger, a keyboard player with iconoclastic piano style illuminating an orchestral archway into a vivid sonic soundscape. Together they craft inventive and memorable modern pop songs.Binga(nee Tomasina Abate) was a performer virtually from birth. She vocalized in the crib while her father, a rock musician, would rehearse his band. At age four, her mother would dress her up as a floozy, have the family all shine flashlights on her while she'd sing "Hello, Dolly." From these auspicious beginnings it was a short leap to procuring costumes from Goodwill and producing entertainment for the neighborhood kids. Tomasina would appear during intermission at backyard boxing matches to sing selections from Annie, while the bruised and bloody were attended to.Gogo(nee Joseph Abate), younger brother, was her co-conspirator. Due to the limitations of his original instrument -- the TV Guide, which doubled as his drum kit, he progressed to the actual snare drum in elementary school, then learned guitar and trumpet. Sister Sledge seized the production reins, but weren't able to equal Chic's sophistication or success. This album included a decent remake of Mary Wells' "My Guy," the original version of "All The Man That I Need" (later made a number one hit by Whitney Houston) and the curious "Il Macquillage Lady," but it seemed like a return to the unfocused, erratic music they had previously recorded. There was some fine vocal work on "Grandma" and "Jacki's Theme: There's No Stopping Us," but things had worsened for groups with a disco reputation, and there were few takers for this record.
