Steven FergusonAll songs written or co-written by Steven FergusonPlaying mainly in Colorado and Hawaii, starting in Missouri at Lake of the Ozarks, and The Leather Bottle in St. Louis, most of these songs were written in the mid to later 70's in Hawaii on a four track reel-to-reel recorder, but came to life in 1987 when Steven went into the studio then entered 2 songs in the Colorado Songwriter's Festival. "Colorado Canyon Song" placed #4 and "Whiskey" placed #8. The next year, 1988, Steven entered "Morning Glory" and placed #3. Three in the top 10 out of 100's of songs entered was not a bad start to test Steven's original material. "Morning Glory" was also played in the late 80's on Boulder's KBCO's radio show, which featured three local songwriters each week. "She Was A Dancer" placed in the semi finals. Steven has spent his time musically playing mainly in Colorado, both full-time and part-time. When stationed in Hawaii in the 70's, Steven played on weekends at the Army Rec Club on Pokai Bay. Living in Hawaii almost 4 years, he entered his song "Hawaiian Girl" in a songwriting contest there, which made it to the finals in the Hawaiian Homegrown Contest.
