THE END IS UNKNOWN! Everyone’s days on this Earth are numbered, and we often lose sight of that. NUMBERED DAYS (NDZ), all-original rock band from Western Washington, reminds us to live every one to its fullest. NDZ members are cut from a wide cloth of backgrounds: Law Enforcement, Engineering, Construction, and Management. Together, they’ve channeled their intense passion into an innovative tapestry that ranges from Modern Rock, Alternative, Progressive Rock, 90’s Grunge, and even Screamo bands. Although all members of the band contributed lyrically to the music, lead vocalist Bryan Lewis draws from past life experiences to fill the songs with intense lyrical content that reaches the audience on a very personal level. Their first, full-length album “Under the Umbilical Tree,” recorded and produced at the legendary Opal Studios in Portland, Oregon, has now been released to the rave reviews of fans, musicians, bands, and industry pros. Early reviews of the all-original material say there are no filler tracks, and the release party on 07/07/07, with a live broadcast on 94.5 KLYK netted 150 cd sales in the one event! Since the release of their self-titled EP in 2006, NDZ fan base has swelled dramatically, the demand increasing the number of shows they play each month. Alpine Butterfly are a four-piece band dedicated to writing progressive/alternative music that can't easily be catagorised. Determined not to fit into any genre they are constantly writing and thinking of ways to seperate themselves from anything existing in todays music scene. In doing so, Alpine Butterfly have written a number of songs that vary in style but maintain a unique sound that can only be described as their own!Their songs so far have ranged from, feel good, possibly californian style, acoustic rock with a blend of subtle dreamy harmonies and backing vocals that provide that feel good, warm textured sound that audiences cant help but sing along to even at first listen. From jazz to blues, classic rock to ballads and some experimental, progressive rock music that provides some serious guitar riffage that gets every head in a room turning and nodding to the cool, catchy rock grooves. Another characteristic of Alpine Butterfly's sound comes from their love of incorporating the much forgotten ‘Guitar Solo’ into a lot of their songs, something that seems against the grain in some of todays mainstream music (unfortunately so). At the same time they aren't afraid of writing a classic pop/rock song to please all manner of music listeners and critics.The band recorded their first four tracks at ‘Mighty Atom Studios’, a well known recording studio based in Swansea, that has recorded such bands as Catatonia and Funeral for a Friend. Their aim with these recording sessions was to maintain their different style philosophy, trying to keep each song sounding different to the other but most impotantly obtaining a raw sound that wasn't over produced and that captured that live feel, they believe is all important. They have since recorded another 3 tracks.Alpine Butterfly was formed by Singer/Song Writer David Dale, and Guitarist/Singer Chris Wright. After a year or so of writing their own material acoustically, and briefly recording some acoustic demos, they decided to form a band. Evans and Keane is the collaborative effort of two artists who have managed to find the elusive magic where one person's words and one person's sounds comes together as music with a life of its own. Vocalist Laura Evans writes songs of life and living which are magically interwoven with Pat Keane's incredible guitar work. Together they have created their soon to be released self-titled album. Pat Keane, a native of Portland Maine, earned his Bachelor's Degree in Performing Arts and Contemporary Music from the University of Maine in Augusta.
