The Swedish death metal outfit added to their already impressive catalogue with 2007's RISE OF THE TYRANT, another pulverizing foray into sonic mayhem. As tunes like "The Last Enemy" and the breakneck-paced opener, "Blood On Your Hands," indicate, ... Full DescriptionArch Enemy are far from selling out. The pummeling rhythms of such tracks barely give the listener time to breathe while searing riffage and snarling, seemingly inhuman vocals shred through the sheets of sound. On tunes like "The Day You Died" Arch Enemy display a sense of melody rooted in classic metal, but the ferocity of their attack throughout RISE OF THE TYRANT assures that they'll take no prisoners.
Arch Enemy: Angela Gossow (vocals); Michael Amott, Christopher Amott (guitar); Sharlee D'Angelo (bass guitar); Daniel Erlandsson (drums).
Alternative Press (p.166) - 4 stars out of 5 -- "The Amott brothers' hermetic guitar acrobatics....deliver a thorough rhythmic thrashing throughout." Kerrang (Magazine) (p.48) - "[T]hat instantly identifiable Mike Armott guitar sound that's well over a decade old sounds the crispest and liveliest that it's done since he accidentally invented melodic death metal..." For me this album was just ok, repeats alot, but then again it's Arch Enemy so that should be expected. I would'nt buy it, they are definitely past their peak! Excellent! Another great album to make the dark lord happy! Heavy, pummeling drums, pumping bass lines, heavy guitar riffs and melodic solos that remind you of the classic metal of yore! I've always like Amott's guitar sound, even back in Carcass. And of course then there's Angela Gossow... She's incredibly hot and gorgeous AND she's got pipes that most male singers sound like choirboys. Great stuff! Submitted by Tom (Chocolate Bayou, TX) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
Awesome This is definitley a great record. Arch Enemy continues to be one of the top outfits in the melodic death metal scene. The Amott brother's guitar skills continue to drop jaws all around the world. Angela's vocals are more raw and powerful. Daniel is a powerhouse behind the drum kit. And Sharlee's bass playing blends everything together in a brutal yet beautful way. Overall this is a very diverse and intense record. 5/5 Submitted by Anthony (Albany,Ga) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No

In the early '80s, a new musical movement, dubbed "The New Wave of British Metal," swept across England. The conspirators include such heavy bands as Iron Maiden, Motorhead, Saxon, and Def Leppard, but Judas Priest is often credited as the originator and leader of the pack. Rob Halford's vocal histrionics and the dual guitar attack of K.K. Downing and Glen Tipton mesmerized metal-heads everywhere. While Priest had been together since the early-'70s, the band's big U.S. breakthrough came with 1982's SCREAMING FOR VENGEANCE.
Like most other metal bands that broke through in the early '80s (Motley Crue, Twisted Sister, etc.), Judas Priest ...

Rise Of The Tyrant music CDs
$6.69 "District 8" functions within the Washington State Jurisdiction of The Church of God in Christ as a normal church choir singing to minister God's word through song. The choir serves the District during District Fellowship Meetings and when necessary during State Conventions. Made up of about 20 voices, this group of singers has surely taken the music ministry to a higher level within the District and endeavors to stay on the road to progression within the ministry. War Cry came about on a chilly fall night while Robert Anderson, founder and CEO of Rob-A-Live Productions and Minister of Music for the District, drove home from work. After the September 11th World Trade Center Bombings, the Lord spoke a simple but powerful melody in his heart that was to remind God's people that the "weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty through God...(II Corinthians 10:4)" The government could only do what they knew when it came to conventional warfare but they lacked the knowledge and acknowledgement that spiritual warfare was the real answer. All we had to do was acknowledge God, cry "Hallelujah", anyhow, and God would do the rest (II Chronicles 20:22). This principle should be applied not just at wartime but in our daily lives also.Rob-A-Live Productions is a ministry, making music come alive, within Washington State, and hoping to move abroad to National as well as International Ministry. The production is made up of approximately 8 vocalists (not featured ...

Rise Of The Tyrant songs
$10.65 The MJ Project is a jazz/funk/jam band made up of four musicians from the Philadelphia area. As described by Philadelphia Inquirer reporter Karl Stark, “The four — with their ardent mix of jazz, funk and groove — are poised to see if their harmonic convergence can turn them into a working band.” MJ has created a tight groove and impeccable sound that proves it has become a band that works on many levels. MJ Project has been playing together for longer than any of its members can remember; for a group that plays jazz/funk/spacy-weirdness, however, that's a good thing. The group formed in Cheltenham, a lovely little suburb of Philly, during high school and spent several years playing little gigs all over the place for fun. After more than 7 years of practicing and tightening its delicious sound, MJ Project has recently started a vicious attack on the hiladelphia scene. The group's mix of talent, telepathic tightness and fearless appreciation of improv are worth checking out for any fan of of good music The group spent most of its high school years practicing, listening to jam masters such as Phish and Medeski Martin and Wood, and performing at various school functions and coffee houses in the Philadelphia area. The band’s varied sets, which ranged from 25-minute epic originals to jazz standards to classic Stevie Wonder tunes, helped MJ gain experience; the sound was clearly beginning to tighten. As a result of their constant desire to find new influences and ability ...
