Mobb Deep fans have waited a long time for the solo debut of Havoc (who comprises one half of the revered Queens hip-hop group). THE KUSH (2007) carries a feel that will be familiar to Mobb Deep devotees: dark, swirling, and full of a sense of creeping dread and menace. Long lauded for his unique production skills, Havoc does not disappoint on that count, but his rapping, which couches hard tales of New York street life in a hypnotic delivery, is equally impressive. "Be There," "I'm the Boss," and "Hit Me Up" are among the highlights on the opening salvo from this iconic figure of East Coast rap.

It's sick, but it needs some more dank beats its reaaaal repetative in some songs but others are mad good.

I really expected more of this album. If you hear beats that he produces for other rappers, they sound much doper than the beats he uses for himself. I'm a Mobb fan so it is in my collection, but I expected more bangers. By the way, why does he brings out an instrumental-album of the Kush???

Good album, could do with more tracks. 12 songs isnt really an album......... But i gotta give respect to havoc, he spits dope rhymes& has goog lyrics. Queens stand up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Prodigy is definitely the one that carries Mobb Deep...This album is decent, its gotta few bangers, but nothin of substance or something you will remember later. Die hard fans of Havoc should cop this.
