Mindy Smith's take on country-steeped Americana succeeds on the merits of her warm, intimate delivery and sophisticated touch. MY HOLIDAY, a Christmas album, benefits from those qualities, and makes listeners feel as though they're sitting with Smith and some elegant friends around a yuletide fire. In addition to her take on carols ("Away in a Manger"), Smith also tackles classic holiday faves ("Silver Bells," "The Christmas Song") and offers up a few originals ("My Holiday;" "Follow the Shepherd Home"). The result is a holiday album that should appeal to fans of folk, country, and the music of contemporary singer-songwriters.Dirty Linen (p.44) - "Mandolins and pedal steel keep the arrangements grounded in country, but Smith's breathy delivery gives it a pop sheen throughout."

5 stars great new holiday tunes!
Mindy is such a great singer, im glad she chose to write an original holiday album that really captures the spirit of the season. she has such an amazing voice, its hard not to fall in love with this disk!
