| | John Garrison Above The Cosmos CD John Garrison Discography of CDs
UK singer-songwriter John Garrison releases his debut solo album after a 5 years career fronting UK band Budapest. Crossing the format barriers of indie rock and adult alternative, "Above The Cosmos" is testimony to Garrison finding a fresh new sound he can call his very own, not least for his wide range of musical influences, from Talk Talk and Ennio Morricone to Prince and Francis Dunnery. Recorded in New York, "Above The Cosmos" was written and produced entirely by Garrison; mixed by up and coming engineer Matt Shane (Dashboard Confessional, Rosanne Cash); and mastered by Fred Kevorkian of White Stripes, Ryan Adams, Dave Matthews fame. "Above The Cosmos" was released independently in August and has since been added to rotation at over 150 college and public radio stations across the US and Canada. Born and raised in the UK, John Garrison was writing songs and performing on stage from the age of 3. Master of the piano, guitar, bass and drums, Garrison traveled the world as a session player with international touring bands, before starting his own band Budapest in 1999. With Budapest, Garrison toured Europe for many years, amassing a loyal following in the UK and Spain, headlined Benicassim, one of Europe’s biggest festivals, appeared in and wrote music for BBC 1 drama "Final Demand", and recorded 2 highly acclaimed albums, with releases in the UK, Spain, and a major label release via Republic/Universal Records in the US.www.garrisonmusic.comwww.myspace.com/johngarrisonmusic“Whether he’s singing about disappointment, monotony, frustration, heartache or pain, one thing is for certain: John Garrison covers the anguish with enough delicate layers of strings, keys, percussion, guitars and pristine vocals to make it hard to believe that grief could ever exist alongside the splendor.” – CMJ US“Above The Cosmos is a superb album, capturing as it does the essence of a songwriter fully in control of his artistic domain. Occasionally melancholic, occasionally introspective, but always charming and delivered with vocal and musical perfection.” - Coventry Telegraph UK John Garrison Above The Cosmos Songs | 1. | When The Lights Go Out |

Above The Cosmos
$15.65 The release of 2009's ENDGAME brings with it a startling realization: if first-generation thrash metal fans had been polled about which of the genre's "Big Four" -- Metallica, Slayer, Anthrax, and Megadeth -- would prove to be the most resilient and consistently prolific over the next quarter century, the only sure-fire consensus would probably have been "well, anyone but Megadeth!" And yet, 12 studio albums and 150-plus songs later -- more than any of the other three have managed -- that's exactly what's come to pass. The group's second release for Roadrunner, whose title apparently refers to "coming full circle" rather than any sort of goodbye, finds the latest iteration of Megadeth-- debuting new guitarist Chris Broderick(ex-Nevermore, Jag Panzer)--working primarily within their technical thrash comfort zone (think PEACE SELLS through ...

Above The Cosmos
$23.69 Of all the bands to emerge from the early `90s grunge explosion, Pearl Jam was both the longest-lived and most consistently interesting. After several albums that found the group taking an increasingly experimental direction, the Seattle quintet returned to its straight-ahead hard rock roots with 2006's self-titled effort. In 2009 however, Pearl Jam surprised fans again with an album containing some of the unit's catchiest, poppiest songs ever. According to lead vocalist Eddie Vedder, most ...

| | Moes Haven August: Of Temporal Inconsistency CD (2006)
Above The Cosmos
$12.49 Picture, if you will, a small, East Coast lakeshore town during August 1958, where a young man on the cusp of independence and adulthood rests on the hood of his car after enjoying perhaps the last day of his misspent youth in the bosom of his friends. And lo, but what to the west should appear but a temporal inconsistency in the form of a troll in a jar. This beast, this being, this creature of the netherworld—itself a manifestation of a rift in the space-time continuum—generously implants fleeting, amorphous and mundane visions of the young man's impending existence into the boy's brain. In a flash, the youth is made ...
| | Tekneek Stop Lookin & Buy It CD (2007)
Above The Cosmos
$13.89 Hailing from the infamous East Colfax of Denver, Colorado, Tekneek’s sound is one that not many people can characterize by genre. He seems to have more of an east coast lyrical style, but can also speed it up very quickly with clarity. His dialect seems to have a touch of southern in it, but at times smooth and westcoast-ish. As one of the most feared battle MC's in Denver, Tekneek established himself as the top notch rhymer in his area. After grooming his style and becoming a complete song writer, Tekneek turned his focus to albums. The power behind his voice is one that very few seem to ever have. As far as content, Tekneek is one of the most versatile writers out right now. ...
| | Hallway Heavies So Far CD (2007)
Above The Cosmos
$18.99 "Don't play what's there, play what's not there." This famous quote by Miles Davis applies well to fifteen years of musical exploration and experimentation from a group of musicians who have learned, developed, and performed together from the very onset of their musical careers. The result is the creation of a unique musical experience called 'Hallway Heavies'. The upcoming full-length album titled 'So Far...' exemplifies a group of players that have the rare ability to come together and fill in that which is not there in such a manner as to produce a tightly knit collection of original compositions that dare to push the boundaries of each other's comfort zones. 'So Far...' represents just how far the band has come, and how far the listener will go when experiencing the musical perspective of 'Hallway Heavies'.Hailing from the central part of Iowa, the core of Hallway Heavies has performed and recorded throughout the United States since the early 90s. Blending an eclectic mixture of funk, improv, rock, R & B, blues, and jazz, Hallway Heavies ...
| | Solace Clever Deception CD (2007)
Above The Cosmos
$10.09 Solace was formed in April 2005, by published poet and prodigy guitarist, Asa Paulovich, who was 18 at the time. This highly inventive hard rock band hailing from Beaver County has a different view on music than most. They want to put out a message of awareness, a message of think for yourself and most importantly open you eyes now or never; this comes from the bands religious backgrounds. (Asa Paulovich (lead guitar, lyrics, vocals) and Steve Husselton (drums, vocals) are both sons of preachers.) Not only are the lyrics thought provoking to the point of where you have to stop and go, “Wow, I never thought of that like that!” ...
