This CD is by far the best Christmas CD Patti has ever done. Patti gives beautiful rendititions of some classics (Do You Hear What I Hear; What do the Lonely Do at Christmas?, Away in a Manger), plus plenty of new material. Standout cuts include "Holidays Mean More to Me" and "Every Year, Every Christmas." People who say that this CD is not "Patti" enough need to realize that she is no longer 30. She always has reinvented herself over the years, and that's what keeps her vibrant and a major force in the industry. Her singing is soft and beautiful. There are enough upbeat songs on the album to keep the younger generation happy. Patti can't keep shouting out the songs as she used to because her voice sounds raspy when she tries to. This album was a very smart move in her musical career. A Christmas classic for all time.

I just finish to listen the album, and I don't have words to describe this mater piece, all the songs are behind amazing, Patti's voice and spirit brought so many good christmas memories. This is by far the best christmas cd I ever listen in my life, magic and love in every note, in every word.

Patti's voice is love and love and more love.
Wonderful songs, colorful vocals, warmful soul. This is what christmas music should be. The best xmas cd around, great production, soulful melodies. God bless Patti

'SCULPTOR' is a perfect blending of styles, a seemless match of textures and tones ... A collaboration between Eric Hopper of Sylken and Alan Bloor of Pholde and Knurl (along with frequent Sylken collaborator Joe G.), the metallic sounds of Alan's sculptures prove to be the perfect compliment to the drifting atmospheres of Eric's music, creating a mesmerizing tableau of sound simultaneously familiar and alien to the listener. With opener "Metalon", the duo create an atmosphere of deep and dark space, a blend of lonely environment and the cold caress of metal. "Call of a Distant Time" propels itself forward with an arpegiated melody that brings to mind the stardust left in a meteor's wake. Skip ahead to "Phasers on Caress" where synth lines bubble and swirl like magma oozing through primoridal worlds, lightly filed tones suggesting strands of otherness throughout. The epic "Keeper of the Deep" brings all of these elements and more together in a summation of where we've gone and leading us into new environments, new territories that have yet to be explored. Engaging and enchanting, 'SCULPTOR' is a brilliant collection of songs which will surely be enjoyed by fans of both Sylken and Pholde, as well as fans of the space music genre.
