Personal Crisis album
$19.14 Although many music fans were convinced that Def Leppard would become hard rock's next big band, few could have predicted the massive across-the-boards success that its third record, 1983's PYROMANIA, achieved. Many wondered why it was taking the group so long to release a follow-up to 1981's HIGH 'N' DRY, but the finished product was well worth the wait. Not only did it become one of the year's best-selling albums and made the band instant U.S. arena headliners, but it has remained a consistent seller ...

Personal Crisis album
$10.65 While Black Sabbath remained one of heavy metal's top concert draws throughout the late '70s, the band's albums of the era proved to not be on par with its earlier work. This creative weakness was what caused vocalist Ozzy Osbourne to split from the band in 1979 to launch a highly successful solo ...
| | Slayer Reign In Blood CD (1986)
Personal Crisis CD music
$13.09 Slayer's major-label debut remains one of the most brutal metal albums ever recorded, uncompromising in its extremes; ironically, it's their mainstream breakthrough release. Infusing its thrash sound with a hardcore-punk influence, the cacophonous quartet shifts from supernatural terror to real-life horrors with shorter songs such as "Necrophobic" and "Postmortem". The change is most notable on the gruesome depiction of Nazi butcher Josef Mengele on the frenzied epic "Angel of Death". Only the apocalyptic closing number, "Raining Blood," hearkens back to ...
| | Lance Whalen She's Not Coming Tonight CD (2002)
Personal Crisis music CDs
$10.59 She's Not Coming TonightLance Whalen doesn't immediately command the room. He could, certainly, with his tall, dark good looks and distinctive sideburns, but that's not really his style. He's essentially a strategist. He'd rather sneak up on the room from behind, suss it out, get a bead on the psychological landscape, and stake out the strongholds and the weak spots. Then he can conquer with a wink instead of a yell. Not unlike a good general, only with a better sense of humor.Like any good strategist, Lance Whalen plays it fairly close to the vest. He doesn't give up any more than he has to. He can be outgoing and effervescent (the acting background comes in handy here), or he can be secretive and moody. Sometimes he can be all of those things at the same time. You can probe him a little, and he'll be polite about it, but you're more apt to find what you're looking for in the songs. That's why he writes them. Lance readily admits a fascination with what he calls the "off-kilter villain," the kind of guy Christopher Walken would play. Musical heroes include Tom Waits and Nick Cave, and Albert Camus is a favorite author. Sure, he's got some melancholy in him. Life happens, even when you're young. But he's got plenty of optimism, too - opportunity awaits around every corner. Life, love, and loss are all a part of the picture, but that doesn't mean the brush strokes can't rock!A security guard ...
| | Stonecreep Keep The Hammer Down CD (2003)
Personal Crisis songs
$8.39 Born and bred in the North Dakota heartlands, summer of 1999, Stonecreep began as a collaboration between founding members Mike Nordick (guitar, most humble Weblord) and Aaron Mullaney (guitar, horror movie aficionado). Their combined sound was deeply rooted in 'The Gathering' era Testament and the eternal thrash of Slayer. Countless songs were written, but only a few remain (i.e. Tears of Blood, The Infection, Down to One, and God's Horror). After months of jamming in a rented airplane hanger loft, things began to wind down, and Aaron eventually moved away to Portland, OR to pursue his dream of becoming a cult horror movie director. Stonecreep was laid to rest, but not quite forgotten. The summer of 2001, two years of school behind him, and Aaron began to feel the itch to rock once again. He had been keeping in close contact with some old friends back in Fargo, ND, Matt Litton (guitar hero and metal god) and Mike 'tricky sticks' Townsend (drums, master of his domain) and ideas began to form. The idea: Mike and Matt should leave the bitter winters and windy summers of North Dakota and move to Portland, OR, joining forces with Aaron. The plan: resurrect Stonecreep. The Agenda: conquer the World!!! After months of crucial planning, Mike and Matt were on Aaron's doorstep, hungry to rock. After Mike and Matt moved to the P-Town area in the summer of 2001, a rigorous practice schedule was implemented. With certain complications emerging as time flew by, Stonecreep realized that they had left behind thier shredding companion of old Andy Mercil (an odd character with hordes of unsung talent). After hours of negotiating andy finally could resist no longer and gave in. With the final piece to the puzzle in place, the Stonecreep sound began to emerge, better and more brutal then ever. At first listen, they appear to be the bastard child of Pantera's riffing crunch ...
