On their self-titled debut Florida quartet We the Kings deliver a well-polished version of hooky punk-pop. On tunes like "Skyway Avenue" and "Stay Young," We the Kings prove that there's still plenty of mileage left in guitar-driven, radio-ready ... Full Descriptionrock with and emphasis on catchy, anthemic choruses that stick in your head. Elsewhere, "Secret Valentine" and "Check Yes Juliet" show the open-hearted romantic side of the band, without losing the punch of their tuneful rock.

| | NOFX 45 Or 46 Songs That Weren't Good Enough To Go On Our Other Records CDs (2002)
We The Kings songs
$13.45 This is a collection of NOFX tracks from various compilations, 7"s and EPs, plus a previously unreleased song and dub remix.
NOFX are masters of the punk ethic of self-deprecation, and it begs the question if they truly realize the mark they have made on the history of modern hardcore. After 18 years, the band that sums up its musical prowess humbly as "good," releases a staggering collection of B-sides, compilation tracks, and rare cuts (many of which were previously long out-of-print in their original 7" pressings).
A cover of the Seymour Simons standard "All Of Me" sets the tone for this collection, and boasts an attitude that really says it all; this band lives for doing things their way. It's easy to see how a song such as "Lazy" could have spawned many of the late-'90s neo-ska bands. MXPX also sneaks in a ska treatment of the song made famous by Metallica, "Last Caress." Well worth it for the expansive liner notes penned by Fat Mike alone, 45 OR 46 SONGS is a must-have for true punks who know NOFX to be one of the top acts of their genre.

| | Five Finger Death Punch Way Of The Fist CD (2007)
We The Kings CD music
$10.49 As its name indicates, Five Finger Death Punch packs a serious sonic wallop. On WAY OF THE FIST, the band offers up its appealing brand of metal, which moves between hardcore, ominous black metal, and melodic metal a la System of a Down or Alice in Chains. Tunes like the opener "Ashes" and "Salvation" are cases in point, alternating pummeling, in-your-face verses with winding, hooky choruses. WAY OF THE FIST rocks hard, and--with its sense of variety-- should appeal to metalheads of many stripes.
Additional Tracks
Five Finger Death Punch: Ivan Mooby (vocals); Zoltan Bathary, Darrell Roberts (guitar); Matt Snell (bass guitar); Jeremy Spencer (drums).

We The Kings Music Review Average Rating: (4.7 out of 5 stars) Amazing Band When a friend first introduced me to We The Kings I was like hmmm..they're okay but not that spectular. But after a while their catchy tunes stuck in my head but I still didn't think they were AWESOME. But after seeing them in concert I was AMAZED. They have so much energy when they perform and sound a million times better than they do on the cd. I would recomend "check yes juliet","The Quiet", "Don't Speak Liar",and my favorite "This Is Our Town". You must own this album. Submitted by Sara (Texas) Was This Review Helpful? WE THEEE KINGS. honestly. so i was a bit judgmental by their band name. thats horrible i know, but i figured we the kings sounded like some scremo or heavy metal when my ex told me about how he was going to their concert. he had me listen to check yes Juliet and i fell in love. most all of the songs you just fall in love with as soon as hearing the first lines, but some you listen to a couple times and you realize you know all the words and adore them.
As i beginner listener i suggest listening to: check yes juliet, dont speak liar, august is over.
but all are excellent.

they the kings I was first introduced to we the kings at a concert. I talked to Travis (lead singer/guitarist) recently and he is genuinely a nice guy which makes the music seem so much better and true to the heart. The cd is great and if you ever get a chance to see this band, you will love it. They play their music with so much energy and passion. Submitted by jess (pennsylvania) Was This Review Helpful?
