With his 2007 album, AMOR DE COSMOS, veteran jazz saxophonist Michael Blake leads his ensemble, which includes trumpet player Brad Turner and pianist Chris Gestrin, on a vibrant set of post-bop jazz. Never one to shy away from avant-garde experimentalism, Blake balances his outré leanings with serene passages and hypnotic grooves, as on "Ghostlines" and "Temporary Constellation," respectively.
