Randy was born and raised in Lebanon, MO. He was born again at a little country Church. He was baptized at the river in 1988. He married his high school sweetheart , Nancy, after graduating . She has been a major help and influence in his life. He has two daughters, Angi, who lives in Jefferson City , MO along with her husband Derek Dunham . She teaches Cheerleading and her teams have won many National awards. His youngest daughter, Lena was born with a handicap . She lives at home with Randy and his wife. She has been a great blessing. Randy never started playing music until he was 18 years old, when he got his first guitar. There after he started writing songs. He went to Nashville, for several years and worked with publishing companies to learn the craft of songwriting,. ( a very eye opening experience to say the least. ) But well worth the study. "God Knows Everything ( My Rose )" Was wrote in memory of Randy's mother who passed away in 2005. She was very special to me and I always wondered how one day I would have to give her up in this life, But with Jesus and knowing she's in Heaven and I will see her again made the difference. I still miss her but I know I'll see her again. 2. "He Sees It All" Tells how God can help us through the storms of life. He knows what is ahead. So were always able to trust Him to know our problems and take care of us.3. "Rock Me Easy, Rock Me Gentle" Is an up tempo song that will keep you singing all day long.What better and safe place to be, but in the Arms of Jesus.4. "Draw Nigh , Close to God" Another up tempo, foot stomping song that brings home the message to draw close to God and He will stay close to you. This song was showcased and placed as one of the best songs on the CD. At the Overcomers group, where I'm part of that Ministry, several people told me I was always saying "draw nigh close to God" it was something I was doing but not aware of. Anyway it is a good song and one of my favorites.5. "In the Eleventh Hour" Is a story about an old man that Randy met while telling others about Jesus. How that man met the Rock of Ages. I can still see him sitting on his front porch in a rocking chair. 6. "I Need Jesus Today" Is a song that shows us that even though you feel like your life is slipping away that Jesus is always there for you. I need Jesus everyday. This is probably one of my favorite songs to sing on the CD7. "And I Know" A song that brings home the message of "I know whom I believe and He is able to keep me." As we talked in a Sunday school class I was teaching, the subject came up about how life is so quick and that's how the song was started (Life is so quick, like the winds come and go. For a moment we are young then the mirror grows old. ) Life is very quick and it made me realize we should make everyday count and do something for the Lord and make a difference while were here.8. "Grandma's Love" A song about Randy's grandmother and the strength she gave to others through her life. Several years after my grandma had went to be with the Lord I drove by her house one day and I saw some flowers coming up that she had planted when I was just a child and also saw a for sale sign on the front door. A feeling of loneliness came over me and I longed for the days as a child growing up in this house that once seen so many happy days, now was sad and lonely9. "God Can Use Broken People" Tells us that no matter what has happened, that God can use us. And that he has a plan for each of us. I am part of the Ministry of the Overcomers group and it seemed like so many people felt they had been so bad that God could not use them and that's where this song came from. It seems like a lot of times in our life we have to be broken before we see the most important things. 10. "How Do You ?" A song of questions!questions of life! all have the same answer!GOT JESUS ? I worked a street Ministry for many years and This song came about from the questions that people would ask me. I wrote the questions down for the verses and give the answer to the questions in the chorus.
