| | Beth Michaels Rush Hour CD Beth Michaels Discography of CDs
I have been playing the piano in the Atlanta area for over 20 years, entertaining everyone from brides to morticians. I've learned the art of careful music selection; therefore I do not play "Breaking Up Is Hard To Do" at weddings or "Killing Me Softly" at funerals. The sign of a true professional... My selections for this recording are favorite requests over the years. The number of times I've played Pachelbel's "Canon In D" for bridesmaids at weddings equals only the number of times I've played "Moon River" in smokey bars. "Star Dust" is dedicated to my parents who graduated from high school in 1947 and met in the sixth grade band. "The Swan" is an orchestral composition I first heard in a dream and later wrote and arranged. For similar original, orchestral/piano arrangements, look for my CDs “Celebrate Now!” and “Little Girl, Dance.” For solo piano, ask for “The White Rose Of Love” and “Christmas Then & Now.” The title “Rush Hour” is inspired by frequent bumper-to-bumper 5:00 p.m. drives to downtown hotel gigs in Atlanta traffic. My wish is that this soothing piano music will help soften your commute through large cities, small towns and life in general. Beth Michaels Rush Hour Songs | 1. | Chariots Of Fire |

| | John Walker Just For You CD (2007)
Rush Hour
$30.39 JOHN WALKER was destined to become a musical superstar and icon of the 60’s Hollywood and London rock and roll scene. The combination of JOHN’S musical abilities and drop-dead gorgeous looks proved irresistible to promoters, managers, agents, and fans around the world. By the time he was eighteen, JOHN had given guitar lessons to younger friends in his Calfornia neighborhood – Carl Wilson, Brian Wilson, and David Marks – who practiced their new surf music in JOHN’S family garage, incorporating some of the guitar riffs JOHN had taught them in their music, and who went on to form THE BEACH BOYS. By nineteen, JOHN was recording at the famed “GOLDSTAR” STUDIOS in Hollywood with PHIL SPECTOR and other hot new musicians and producers. By the early 60’s, JOHN and his bands were drawing huge crowds at the hottest clubs in Hollywood – and regular visits in the audience from THE ROLLING STONES, and other new rock bands who were checking out the California rock scene. Soon, JOHN would be jamming every afternoon with JIMI HENDRIX in Europe and modeling the latest London fashion’s in Penthouse and popular fan magazines. In 1964, JOHN WALKER formed the legendary WALKER BROTHERS in Hollywood (eventually replacing original drummer Al “Tiny” Schneider – who went on to tour with THE EVERLY BROTHERS – with PJ PROBY’s drummer, Gary Leeds) where the band met with great success and went on to ENGLAND in 1965, producing chart topping hits such as the #1’s: “MAKE IT EASY ON YOURSELF” and “THE SUN AIN’T GONNA SHINE ANYMORE” and other classics – “MY SHIP IS COMIN’ IN” and “NO REGRETS”. John’s ...

| | JP Den Tex Bad French CD (2007)
Rush Hour
$12.39 "Bad French" "Traveling America in the footsteps of Tocqueville... A musical travelogue by one of Europe's most interesting singer/songwriters. Great Americana from the other side of the pond: JP Den Tex is a true friend of the American experiment!" JP DEN TEX (originally from Amsterdam, Holland) is an 'emotional nomad', wandering in a musical landscape between Americana and traditional European genres such as French chanson. Some even prefer to call his unique blend 'Europicana'... Anyway, JP Den Tex and his band Emotional Nomads have been very successful in bringing this cosmopolitan message across lately. In 1998 they released their first CD - their critically acclaimed and touchingly candid 'Emotional Nomads' album. So that's where the band's name comes from! "Painstakingly honest, that's how I'd like to be..." JP wrote in the CD booklet. In 2000 this album was followed by the moody 'Hotel Yankee Tango' - and later by the capricious, almost lighthearted 'La Jeune Fille Au Chewing Gum', JP DEN TEX' first (solo) album for Corazong Records (2004). On 'Bad French' JP is rejoined by The Emotional Nomads. After the successful cinema release of the Jindra Markus documentary movie 'Emotional Nomads' in 2006 the band did another tour of the Lowlands. JP is taking a break from touring with the band first half of 2007 to do a sold out theatertour with actor Kees Prins and Paul de Munnik (half of Dutch top-charting duo Acda & De Munnik). JP is planning to be in the USA in November '07, coinciding with the Americana Music Convention. After that tour they went back to the recording studio - together with long time associate and producer Sander Janssen (he is the guy who suffered a stroke in the documentary) and ex-Tröckener Kecks bass player Theo Vogelaars, now also a producer. If 'Emotional Nomads' could be dubbed 'a musical diary' - Bad French should be considered 'a European soundtrack to an American roadmovie'. For in spite of what the album title seems to suggest Bad French is far more Americana & American than French. A European writer - who is temporarily residing in NYC to assemble material for a new book - encounters a surprisingly well-educated Russian escort girl on Coney Island. When she tells him she gets frequently beaten by her lover-boss Lev, the writer kindly offers to lead her out of her predicament, into the relative safety of the vast American heartland. She accepts - and in the weeks that follow they jointly discover the customs, landscapes (and music!) of the ...
