| | Vaden Carr World's Most Broker Home CD (2003)
Best Of Dance 2007 songs
$16.45 Vaden was born in the hills of North Louisiana, near the Ouachita River. His family was poor in wealth, but rich in love, and had a special bond with country music, that always had a special place in home lives as well as social gathering. Vaden's Dad, along with three brothers and one sister, played and sang the songs that touched their hearts, and could relate to in their lives. Country music seemed to always be a cure for the blues and help make the hardships of life be a little more tolerable. At an early age, Vaden became insured in writing songs. Though he didn't have much to write about, he spent hours writing poems, then trying to find a tune that would fit. It was a long ways from being professional, but to Vaden at the time was music to his ears. Soon, Vaden's life would make a sharp turn, he stepped into the real world, to make it on his own. Being of a restless nature and not much education, he took jobs on cross country pipelines, and later cross country trucking that would take him all over the United States and to Canada. On rainy days on the pipeline and layovers in trucking, you could find him at the nearest place where their country music would make you feel the songs were wrote about you.Vaden fell in love and married a farmer's daughter, one of ten children. She had three boys and one girl by a previous marriage. Then gave birth to a set of twins, a boy and a girl. Six children, that was enough. Then Vaden had two loves; his family and his music. He admits to having ups and downs in his marriage for a while. She thought he loved his music more than her. But after living with Vaden, she learned him from the inside and began to understand after listening to the lyrics of his songs. She knew they were not just songs but an outpouring from the heart: about his life, the lives of others he has met, and using the imagination of human nature. That only comes with time and experience in life. Vaden has a life long devotion to song writing and lives to write the lyrics you can relate to. And maybe sometimes you will say that song was for me.Ask yourself . . . What would this world be like ...
| | Hydraulic Woman Ouija Park CD (2006)
Best Of Dance 2007 album
$9.35 “Ouija Park” is a catchy mix of rock and blues combined with a vocal style reminiscent of Susan Tedeschi, Bonnie Raitt, and Sheryl Crow. This is Hydraulic Woman’s long- awaited second release, chock-full of powerful vocals, well-placed harmonies, and engaging grooves. These top-notch players from the Midwest (Kristen Schuldt on vocals, Scott Olson on bass & drums, Blaine Prout on guitar, Tom Hager on drums, Craig Fawver on harmonica, and Duane Alfveby on sax) easily win the “understated vs. overprocessed” debate.“You’d ...
