Best Of Dance 2007 album
$14.39 Hot on the heels of the smash-mouth rock anthems of JOCK ROCK VOLUME 1 comes the hi-NRG slam-dunk of JOCK JAMS. From the opening bell and the trademark "let's get ready to rumble" declaration of ring announcer Michael Buffer, JOCK JAMS delivers a hearty dose of dance tracks that range from hip-hop (Naughty By Nature's "Hip Hop Hooray") to house beat (Black Box's "Strike It Up").
If JOCK ROCK was for athletes, JOCK JAMS is for the cheerleaders on the sidelines. Tommy Boy Records goes on the road ...

Best Of Dance 2007 songs
$16.45 Vaden was born in the hills of North Louisiana, near the Ouachita River. His family was poor in wealth, but rich in love, and had a special bond with country music, that always had a special place in home lives as well as social gathering. Vaden's Dad, along with three brothers and one sister, played and sang the songs that touched their hearts, and could relate to in their lives. Country music seemed to always be a cure for the blues and help make the hardships of life be a little more tolerable. At an early age, Vaden became insured in writing songs. Though he didn't have much to write about, he spent hours writing poems, then trying to find a tune that would fit. It was a long ways from being professional, but to Vaden at the time was music to his ears. Soon, Vaden's life would make a sharp turn, he stepped into the real world, to make it on his own. Being of a restless nature and not much education, he took jobs on cross country pipelines, and later cross country trucking that would take him all over the United States and to Canada. On rainy days on the pipeline and layovers in trucking, you could find him at the nearest place where their country music would make you feel the songs were wrote about you. Vaden fell in love and married a farmer's daughter, one of ten children. She had three boys and one girl by a previous marriage. Then gave birth to a set of twins, a boy and a girl. Six children, that was enough. Then Vaden had two loves; his family and his music. He admits to having ups and downs in his marriage for a while. She thought he loved his music more than her. But after living with Vaden, she learned him from the inside and began to understand after listening to the lyrics of his songs. She knew they were not just songs but an outpouring from the heart: about his life, the lives of others he has met, and using the imagination of human nature. That only comes with time and experience in life. Vaden has a life long devotion to ...

Best Of Dance 2007 album
$22.09 After a series of taiko-related albums for ARC, Joji Hirota here presents a collection of traditional folk songs. They range from fishing songs to babysitter lullabies, largely from the Edo period, prior to the influences of Western music on Japanese forms. The album opens simply enough with a very nice vocal outpouring, mixed with a surprising element -- a Western classical ensemble aiding Hirota's efforts. Even more surprising given the intentional avoidance of Western influences is the choice of musical selections. Four variations of a traditional song related to the enjoyment of the cherry blossom blooms are presented next, based themselves in part on the same source material as Madam Butterfly. A small children's chorus is added in for a medley of kids songs (surprisingly mournful), and a more contemporary composition from the blind ...
