Minha Arte
$9.89 Also available in a 3-pack with DIARY OF A MADMAN and BARK AT THE MOON.
Ozzy Osbourne's 1983 release, BARK AT THE MOON, revealed that keyboards were becoming an integral ingredient in his music. On his next release, THE ULTIMATE SIN, keyboards were used even more extensively, resulting in Ozzy's most commercially accessible work. Despite the fact that many longtime fans resented the album's pop-metal leanings, THE ULTIMATE SIN became Osbourne's fastest-selling album to that point. It was also the last Ozzy Osbourne album to feature guitarist Jake E. Lee.
The most renowned song on THE ULTIMATE SIN remains the popular video/single "Shot in the Dark." Other standouts included the anti-nuclear war tracks "Thank God for the Bomb" and "Killer of Giants" (the latter was the album's working title for quite some time), as well as the title track and "Lightning Strikes," which were both popular MTV videos as well. Although Ozzy enjoyed his greatest commercial success to that point with this record, he returned to his more familiar heavy metal tendencies of yore on his next studio release, 1989's NO REST FOR THE WICKED.

Minha Arte
$10.15 In 2003 I began recording my first solo project, Sleight of Hand. The mission was simple: produce an outstanding, unusual solo album without studio trickery. Everything had to be playable live. But I'm not a typical coffee-shop guitarist, and I wasn't in the mood to write lyrics, so the time-honored "acoustic guitar and a microphone" ...
| | Cyan Cloud CD (2006)
Minha Arte
$10.15 Artist Biography: CyanA native of Barcelona, Spain, Cyan became a musical force in his native land while quite young, holding concerts and winning the EXIT television and radio show competitions not long after his eighteenth birthday. Talent and determination enabled him to build on that early success and sign a contract with PICAP, a top independent label in Catalonia.Dubbed “the Messenger” by the Catalonian pop music scene because of his ability to connect with the struggles and realities of his audience through deeply moving lyrics, Cyan arrived in the States in 2001 to work on a musical project. He calls this phase of his career “one of the most unforgettable experiences of my life.”Sheer tenacity—he was selling flags on the street at one point to make the payments on his car insurance—kept Cyan focused on his goal, and he began to perform at clubs accompanied only by his guitar. One of these shows led to an invitation from BMG Publishing for lunch because John Exevarria, the president of Universal Music Latino, wanted to hear more songs. The association led to a publishing contract with Universal and, ultimately, a move to Los Angeles. It was there that his musical vision really coalesced as he incorporated multicultural influences from his French father and Catalonian mother. As a co-writer for international recording artist Chayanne’s “Cuidarte El Alma,” Cyan earned critical and industry acclaim. The song rose to the top of Billboard’s Hot Latin charts and held its position for several weeks; was nominated for Song of the Year for Univision’s Premios Lo Nuestro; won Songwriter of the Year at the 2004 Telemundo Premios De La Gente awards; and won Song of the Year at the 2005 BMI Awards.Cyan decided to produce his own music soon after, and the EP “Cloud” resulted. In his newest work he has remained ...

Minha Arte
$15.19 Original compositions for solo guitar combining elements of Flamenco, Classical and Minimalist styles, including three innovative works for a four string classical guitar.BODEGA DUNES is an exciting collection of compositions for solo guitar inspired by the natural beauty of a small town on California's north coast. Borrowing techniques used in Flamenco, finger-style acoustic guitar as well as "classical music", the artist has created a musical diary and portrait of his experience of the aural and visual landscape of the dunes and the sea that is not only meditative but also rich in harmonic color, lyrical melodies and rhythmic complexity. Like the ocean itself, at times passionate and agitated, other times calm and reflective, infinite in its subtle variations and full of intimate details. A marvelous expression of "place" over time. Frank has worked as an accompanist since the early 1980's starting with the Flamenco's de la Bodega in San Francisco's North Beach as well as in Sevilla Spain with the Dance company of Andres Marin. He has also worked on some "Flamenco Fusion" projects including the guitar duo Arabesque as well as his own ensemble with flute, violin, bass and percussion called HARVEST. Most recently he has performed with the soprano Vismaya Lhi doing music from the Medieval period, Brazilian composers, Garcia Lorca, as well as new compositions by Dusan Bogdanovic. Frank has also composed music for small ensembles ...
