Fresh of his critically acclaimed 2007 collabo with Marley Marl, the teacher is back with his 12th solo album, ADVENTURES IN EMCEEIN'. More of a compilation album of recent material than a new project, ADVENTURES IN EMCEEIN' features 20 never-before-heard tracks recorded between 2004 and 2007. Lyrically, Kris touches on a range of contemporary issues and collaborates with a handful of fellow conscious rappers including Chuck D, Dwayne da Rock, Peedo, S-Five, Non-Stop, and MC Lyte. Nas, Rakim, and Just Blaze also appear on spoken-word interludes to give shouts to the Blast Master.

Really feeling KRS on this new album. He steps up SO MUCH, he always has great lyrics, but this time the beats are incredible. As NAS says on the album, KRS ONE the best MC OF ALL TIME!! Being that Nas' is from Queensbridge, that says it all!!
Please go out and buy this album, don't download, buy it and show support for REAL HIP HOP!

its about time to get back to hip hop what is was before, stop all that money making stuff.nobody talks about the wrong thing in poitics exept krs or paris or ice cube
and go spend that money for that album.

His best in years
I'm not sayin his other stuff was bad, i loved Hip Hop Lives, but this blows that out of the water. The beats on this CD are hard and as always he delivers with great lyrics. Definitely worth the money

KRS-One has always been a socially conscious rapper, tackling different subjects throughout his career, most of which relate to problems that face many urban dwellers, especially black ones. But in Life, race is an issue he chooses not to tackle; in fact, he makes a point to mention that specifically. "I am hip-hop/I don't speak for blacks," he states in "Still Slippin'," understanding that his art has the ability to reach a large demographic (something he also addresses in "I'm on the Mic"). Instead, KRS-One speaks of problems that can and do afflict all people.
