Released in 2007, BY THE PEOPLE, FOR THE PEOPLE consists primarily of live tracks and rare demos selected by Mudvayne's dedicated internet-savvy following. Standouts of PEOPLE include a pummeling concert rendition of the Los Angeles-based heavy-rock act's breakthrough single, "Dig," and a spare demo version of the eerie "Falling Into Sleep." Rounding out this stopgap release are two new tunes--the dynamic "Dull Boy," which spotlights Chad Gray's tormented vocals and Greg Tribbett's searing guitar lines, and a metallic cover of the Police's "King of Pain."

$19.98 When Jon Anderson rejoined Yes after DRAMA, he was inserting himself into an unusual situation. Keyboardist Geoff Downes and longtime guitarist Steve Howe had left to form Asia with prog rock vets John Wetton (King Crimson, Roxy Music etc.) and Carl Palmer (ELP). Chris Squire and Alan White brought original Yes keysman Tony Kaye back and recruited vibrant young Australian guitarist/vocalist/composer ...
| | Michael Buble Crazy Love CD (2009)
By The People, For The People
$15.05 Buoyed by the popularity of the hit contemporary pop ballad "Home," singer Michael Bublé's 2005 album, IT'S TIME, clearly positioned the vocalist as the preeminent neo-crooner of his generation. Easily the singer's most stylistically wide-ranging album so far, 2009's CRAZY LOVE is also one of his brightest, poppiest, and most fun. Bublé kicks things off with the theatrical, epic ballad "Cry Me a River" and proceeds to milk the tune with burnished breath, eking out the drama line by line. It's over the top for sure, but Bublé takes you to the edge of the cliff, prepares ...

| | Atlas Sound Logos CD (2009)
By The People, For The People
$11.64 Bradford Cox was a virtual song machine during the time between Deerhunter's CRYPTOGRAMS and the Atlas Sound's LOGOS, churning out officially released material as well as plenty of songs only available on his blog. Over that span of time, he became a finer and more fluid songwriter, and his music emerged from the experimental fog of his earlier work just enough to give listeners tantalizing glimpses of almost ridiculously catchy songs. LOGOS keeps this push-pull between challenging and charming, yet Cox's second solo album still feels more experimental than Deerhunter, if only because he seems completely unfettered by any kind of rules or concerns about consistency. These songs barely sound like each other, yet they all sound like Cox. LOGOS comes into focus slowly with its first three songs. "The Light That Failed"'s hazy atmospheres slip effortlessly into ...

$16.45 This new album--After December--marks a rebirth for me. It is an evolution of myself, my mind, my spirit and my soul. It is a journey of self-realization and empowerment. The songs on this album are very personal and therapeutic. They have allowed me to become accepting of who I am and the wounds I keep inside. This album has allowed me to feel complete, self-reliant and proud. My obstacles are behind me. My demons are dead. There is pain, hate, optimism, disappointment, success, accomplishment, failure and serenity here. Each experience, captured and translated into a song or composition, exists solely for the sake of introspection--to realize who I am and to find balance from the encounter. I know myself through my interactions with others and every track has helped in telling a story.I look back at what I've gone though--the people I have met, the hearts I have touched and the hands that have hurt me. I see everyone now through different eyes--more enlightened. I understand what pain is and I understand what it means to learn from mistakes. There were people who helped me and there were people who should have never ...
