| | Paper Sons Fine Line CD Paper Sons Discography of CDs
The PaperSons are four extremely talented guys from the Bay Area playing rhythmically driven alternative rock illustrated with beautiful, open harmonies. Their sound has been compared to such bands as Cursive, Queens of the Stone Age and Thrice, with a personal nod to Sparta, with whom they share a taste for hardcore. Borne from the ashes of the group's freshman band, Midnight in a Perfect World, The PaperSons are the end result of one member change and some serious soul searching. The founding members are guitarist Phil Pristia, bassist Fran Dickinson, and Dennis Rodriguez on Drums. The newest addition to the lineup is Tom McCullough whose voice, with its earnest, almost pleading quality, smoothes out the driving edge of the music."[The Paper Sons} go for the alt rock jugular, but in different and suprisingly enjoyable ways...The Papersons lean more toward emo with a sound that brings to mind Cursive and The New Trust." - The Onion - Volume 43 Issue 47, pg38 Paper Sons Fine Line Songs | 1. | Shape of things to come |

| | Halford III: Winter Songs CD (2009) Special Edition; Digipak
Fine Line CD music
$13.75 At first glance, Halford's entry into the crowded holiday market looks like a parody. Heavy metal and Christmas make for strange bedfellows, and WINTER SONGS' pastoral cover art -- which depicts Rob Halford staring wistfully (with a goatee and shades) into a soft, snowy pine forest -- screams Spinal Tap. That said, the Judas Priest frontman approaches yuletide standards like "We Three Kings" and "What Child Is This?" with the same conviction that he applied to Priest classics like "Electric Eye" and "Freewheel Burning" -- it probably helps that most traditional Christmas hymns tend to fall into the same brooding minor keys that serve as the foundation for most, if not all, heavy metal songs. While WINTER SONGS, like Twisted Sister's excellent 2006 TWISTED CHRISTMAS collection, may not be mainstream enough for the department store Santa kiosk, it's a surprisingly cohesive and listenable addition to the genre -- and if skillfully disguised in a ...

| | Scorpions Tokyo Tapes [hip-O) CD (1978) Remastered
Fine Line CD music
$11.99 If you played in a hard rock band during the '70s, what were you likely to be doing circa 1978? Why, recording a live album, of course. Preferably a double vinyl set, and in Japan to boot. The Scorpions were no exception, and in fact, their Tokyo Tapes were captured only days after Cheap Trick's At Budokan ...

| | Cafe Tacuba Vale Callampa CD (2002) Digipak; Extended Play
Fine Line songs
$6.29 This four-track EP is a tribute record, all of the songs taken from the repertoire of the Chilean band Los Tres. The songs combine aspects of romantic Latin pop, sweet soul harmonies ("Olor a Gas"), disco, and electro-pop ("Amor Violento"). It's pretty eclectic for an EP, but it's not a release that seems destined to endure as a notable venture in the Café Tacuba discography. ~ Richie Unterberger
This four-track EP is a tribute record, all of the songs taken from the repertoire of the Chilean band Los Tres. That's a pretty arcane tribute to make, in the U.S. market at any rate (and this EP was released by MCA in the U.S.), and in sections of the Latin American market as well. Were this the work of an emerging group, one would suspect that it ...

| | Danger Danger To Know You Is To Love You CD (1973)
Fine Line CD music
$5.95 Talk about releasing an album at the wrong time. In late 1991, it seemed like rock audiences worldwide had finally thrown up their hands in disgust with the fourth-rate hair metal bands that MTV and radio were pushing on the public, and in response, welcomed the likes of Nirvana, Pearl Jam, and Soundgarden with open arms. As a result, several hair metal bands that just a year or two earlier seemed like "the next big thing" within their genre were suddenly rendered obsolete -- including Danger Danger, who issued their sophomore effort, Screw It!, ...
