Purchase Vile Conception CD To buy, Click on price to add to cart | Anthrax Among The Living CDs (1987) With DVD; Bonus Tracks; Remastered
Vile Conception album
$21.94 When Anthrax released AMONG THE LIVING in 1987, the band was a part of a then-burgeoning heavy metal sub-genre called speed or thrash metal. This was an inversion of glam metal. The band members wore worn-out jeans and T-shirts, their long hair was hairspray-free, and not a smudge of make-up was applied to their unsightly mugs. Their music was dense, borrowing speed from punk and hardcore and mammoth guitar riffing from ...

Vile Conception album
$15.05 The American version of THE SILENT FORCE features two bonus tracks ("Destroyed" and "Jane Doe") not available on the European edition.
Available in the U.S. for the first time in 2008, Dutch symphonic rock heroes Within Temptation's 2004 epic, THE SILENT FORCE, continued the band's incomparable blend of classical, New Age, opera, and heavy metal music. In addition, the latter-day prog rockers' ...
| | Pelican What We All Come To Need CD (2009)
Vile Conception CD music
$11.49 One had to wonder what Pelican's signing to Southern Lord could possibly mean. To be truthful, while the band did write and perform more structurally formal material on 2007's CITY OF ECHOES, they retained their trademark post-metal aesthetic -- percussive repetition, overtone ...
| | Leroy Carr Unissued Test Pressings & Alternate Takes (1934-37) CDs (1996) Import
Vile Conception music CDs
$13.35 Knowledgeable fans of urban piano blues will undoubtedly raise an eyebrow at those recording dates, as Leroy Carr died in 1935. Although he gets top billing, Carr shares this 23-track disc with a relatively unknown blues pianist with the pre-PC sobriquet Black Boy Shine, a Houston-based bluesman.
Dodgy name aside, Shine ...
| | ! Louden Up Now CD (2004)
Vile Conception songs
$12.95 They spell their name !!!, but you can call them "chik chik chik," "pow pow pow," etc. A New York-via-Florida outfit that shares members with the similarly inclined Out Hud, !!! was one of the prime instigators of the electro/post-punk revival that started gathering steam in the early 2000s. Though they've obviously listened to their share of Public Image Ltd. and A Certain Ratio (see !!! contemporaries the Rapture and Radio 4),the band leans more towards the electro/disco side of things, throwing in plenty of New Order-derived synthesizers and percolating dance beats amid the angular guitars and confrontational vocals.
Being at the epicenter of hipness at the time of LOUDEN UP NOW, !!! sees fit to lean heavily on in-your-face attitude, to the point that the album comes packaged with a second disc with the voluminous swearing deleted (these boys curse more than a gangsta rapper with Tourette's Syndrome). Given the cyclical nature of pop-culture, one couldn't help ...

Vile Conception album
$15.99 Two CD collection from the Soul singer. The profound honesty and sensitivity found in his timeless music has made Bill Withers one of America's premier singer/songwriters. Combining soulful warmth, a genuine folksy feel with his immediately recognizable voice, Withers has sung his way into the hearts of millions worldwide. His ability to say what so many feel is uncanny. The cd features 36 stunning highlights from a singing and songwriting genius of the '70s and '80s, including hits `Lean On Me', `Lovely Day' and `Ain't No Sunshine'. 34 tracks. Music Club. 2008.
Ain't No Sunshine is a two-disc set for Bill Withers completists, and it's about time they had one. Other Withers compilations have revealed little about the '70s soul man with the thick, honeyed voice and the gift for picking emotional locks: alongside such ...
| | Loose Acoustic Trio Sorrow Be Gone CD (2008)
Vile Conception CD music
$11.19 The Loose Acoustic Trio revive a number of traditional folk styles with a new twist. In the group's performances, one can hear elements of old-timey country, bluegrass, Cajun, and jug band music as the bandmembers wield their primary instruments (Ken Cooper's guitar and mandolin, Richie Lawrence's accordion, Steve O'Neill's bass) and are joined by guests who add jug, musical saw, tuba, ...
