The Upper Room Sanctuary Choir was formed in 1981 with just seven voices by its current president, Janice Daye under the patronage of the late Pastor and Founder of Upper Room, James Henry Turner. By the mid-eighties the choir was strong placing in the top 2 of the McDonald's Gospel Fest two years straight. Today the choir is over 65 voices strong led by the anointed and talented C. Paige "Rocky" Raeford under the leadership of the church's nationally acclaimed, anointed, Bible preaching and teaching pastor, Dr. Patrick L. Wooden Sr.
The choir and praise team have shared the stage with many great gospel artists/song writers, such as John P. Kee, Timothy Wright, Douglas Miller, Luther Barnes, the late James Moore, Kevin Bond, Becky White, Beverly Crawford, Norman Hutchins, and others. Still the choir has its own unique message, bringing forth anointed singers and songwriters from within.
In this national debut of Worship In the Upper Room ~ Standing In His Presence, the Upper Room Sanctuary Choir & Praise Team brings the worship and praise experience to you.
