| | Kelis Hits CD Kelis Discography of CDs
(1 Customer Review)
Kelis's influence has sometimes been overlooked, which is a shame because her spare, hooky R&B has been helping lead the charge in innovative pop since the 1990s. In part, this is due to her collaborations with the Neptunes, whose production skills give Kelis's singles a distinctive stamp.
THE HITS skims the cream from Kelis's studio releases, bringing her top-selling singles together in one place, from her first single, "Caught Out There," to her duets with Andre 3000 ("Millionaire") and Ol' Dirty Bastard ("Got Your Money"), and, of course, her dance-inducing million-selling single "Milkshake." Sexy, catchy, and surprisingly fresh, Kelis is a dance artist worth hearing. Those who know her will appreciate this well-chosen compilation; those who don't should start here.Q (Magazine) (p.123) - 3 stars out of 5 -- "These tracks, expertly produced by The Neptunes, placed Kelis at the cutting edge of urban music..." Record Collector (magazine) (p.90) - 4 stars out of 5 -- "She's one of the few that easily straddles dancefloor and bedroom, sounding totally at ease in either." | | Usher Confessions: Special Edition CD (2004) Special Edition
Hits
$9.75 Usher has been a symbol of tender sexuality ever since he shifted from teenage sensation to soulful superstar. He's breathtakingly good at what he does; possessing that undefinable essence known to a select few soul crooners (Al Green, D'Angelo, etc.) who radiate sensuality through song, Usher has reached an apex on the sultry CONFESSIONS, his fifth studio album.
After the obligatory intro, Lil Jon kicks in with his exhortations on the catchy, dance-floor-ready single "Yeah." Usher follows that up with the sublimely sweet "Throwback," a torch song with a fantastic Motown hook. On "Confessions Part II," he exposes his most vulnerable side when admitting to his lover that he's fathered a child with another woman. Exemplifying his versatility, Usher follows the standard pop ballad "Simple Things" with the guitar-riff-driven "Bad Girl," somewhere between 1970s funk and '80s Prince. CONFESSIONS is the sound of an R&B luminary at the top of his game.

| | Ne-Yo Year Of The Gentleman CD (2008)
Hits
$10.89 The R&B singer, songwriter, producer, and all-around hit-making machine known as Ne-Yo works his magic yet again on YEAR OF THE GENTLEMAN. Different from your average R&B crooner of the day, Ne-Yo backs away from overt sexuality, instead aiming for subtle romantic ballads that vary from playful innocence to brooding melancholy. Lead single "Closer" is unique as Ne-Yo works his silky smooth voice over a poppy house track. Overall, YEAR OF THE GENTLEMAN is consistent in this respectfully seductive approach to the fairer sex. In "Nobody," an awed Ne-Yo sings the praises of his love interest--"Can't nobody strut like her/Can't nobody touch her"--and the second single, "Miss Independent" is as close to a feminist anthem as the R&B genre has come in years. Production work comes from Polow da Don, Stargate, Chuck Harmony, Stereotypes, and Ne-Yo himself.

| | Young Dibiase Million S1 Dream CD (2008)
Hits
$5.99 Brought into the world May 28th, 1984 as Cory Smith, but "Young Dibiase" has always been an appropriate name for the unique individual. Dibiase was diagnosed with Sickle Cell at birth. Realizing he has to work twice as hard, the blood disorder has proven to be a successful motivation in his life and career. The youngest of 5 grew up in a Military based family, and although he was born in Frankfort Germany, he calls Kentucky his home. Experience with alcohol, drugs, poverty, violence, dysfunctional family issues, and personal health issues at a young age have been the fuel that fires Dibiase's passion as an artist. His first acquaintance with music was in 1998 when he began writing and producing in his own home after school. Two years later Dibiase (B.K.A. CORE) started a group with high school with friends/brothers Jamaal and Travis Thompson which led to his exposure as a Recording Artist. The group recorded countless tracks but never "officially" released an album. Dibiase eventually decided to go solo and proceed as an Independent Producer/ Writer/ Engineer. In 2005 while attending College, Dibiase met William "Ill Will" McBroom, and they later became partners of “Hooligan Music Group”/ Fam Squad Entertainment”. In 2006 Dibiase began working on his first project, the “Just Fury” mix tape (Justify My Fury). The mix tape was a promotional tool for the single “Piece of Mind” FT. Justin “JC” Crowder, who later signed to Block Entertainment/ Bad Boy South. The “Just Fury” mix tape was highly successful, selling out of stock in less than two months in the streets.Since the release of “Just Fury” the artist B.K.A. CORE, officially changed his name to “Young Dibiase” after battling three “near fatal” Sickle Cell Crises in less than a year. After the discharge of his most recent hospitalization on December ...
