from ballade to pop rock to pop electro
Pretty good album. I like it a lot, you can find her world easily. Many upbeat songs which put you in the mood of dancing easily. Ballade is in the same current with the others album. You can find other style of music that she was using before. Her voice is much more present. Her poetry is still well written.

What I'd expect...
Mylene has a style that borders many others and yet is unique. There is an electronic pop element to her sound and yet a mix of rock and even some new age. I suppose it's best to just call her French (though the land of her birth was Quebec). Point De Suture is elegant and yet slightly abrasive. The disturbing images on the cover art convey a taste of the lament in the lyrics, the longing, etc. But there is a sense of hope as found in "Reveiller le Monde" (literal translation is Wake up the World). But Mylene's power is definately in a dreamy longing as in "Appelle mon numero" (literal translation is Call my Number) where she suggests to have "pillows" which seem to represent a safe haven from pain but despite that, she asks for her number to be called, as if that number sums up so many of her dreams, I think anyone longing for a date can relate to that, a vulgar way to put it, but I think you get the point better that way. I'd recommend this album to anyone looking for an alternative to the brash and artifical sound pumping out of corporate offices in LA and New York. Mylene has real talent and she challenges you to delve into and interpret your emotions rather than exploit them for a cheap sexual fantasy.
