Karen deAguero was born in Fairview, New Mexico and grew up in Chimayo with six brothers along with her Mother and Father. She learned to play the guitar when she was in 3rd grade from her father Harby who played excellent guitar. Karen recorded her first CD entitled, “Esta Vida” in 2006. The CD includes five original songs and five cover songs. Two of the cover songs are mariachi and were recorded with Mariachi Tenampa from Albuquerque.
