Newry Town CD (2007)
Beggarmen music CDs The Beggarmen find their roots in the traditional music of Ireland and other Celtic regions. The band supplements the rich variety of traditional tunes with their own original music. All of the Beggarmen lend their voices as well as their fine playing to the mix.
Brad Pouleson - Originally from the Chicago area, Brad began performing on guitar at the age of fourteen. In the mid-nineties he fell under the spell of traditional Irish music and taught himself the mandolin, tin whistle and low whistle and more recently has added the uilleann pipes to that list. He is an accomplished musician on five instruments. Brad has been composing music since he began playing instruments, working in many different genres, including classical, rock, jazz, and of course traditional Irish. His song 'Part of Me' will appear on the upcoming cd by Indonesian jazz singer celeb Anissa. In addition to recording work with The Beggarmen he has also appeared as a guest performer on singer/songwriter Nic Arp's CD 'Faces and Words'.
Jose' Manaligod - In a remarkable coincidence, Jose' grew up in the same town as Brad, but on the other side of the tracks. Years later, they ended up in Iowa City with sons the exact same age, which is a short explanation for how a Filipino boy ended up playing Irish music. Jose' is a classically trained pianist who originally took up accordion to play French cafe music. He now also plays Irish music on both the piano and button accordions, taking his inspiration from accordionists such as Sharon Shannon and John Williams. In addition to recordings by The Beggarmen, Jose is also featured on singer/songwriter Nic Arp's CD 'Faces and Words.

Soft Day CD (2010)
Beggarmen discography July 22, 2010 review of A Soft DayPress-CitizenJim Musser
This sublime quartet has been delivering quality traditional and original (yet in-the-tradition) Celtic music to the region for the better part of a decade.
Previous discs "I Shall" (2005) and "Newry Town" (2007) were solid, straight-ahead entries of the form, and the brand-new "A Soft Day" continues the band's steady upward arc in musicianship, varied, easy-rolling tracking and overall dynamic range.
Boosted by grants from the Iowa Arts Council and the National Endowment for the Arts, "A Soft Day" is easily the group's best-sounding disc yet, offering crisp separation, a big, spacious feel and immaculate presentation of the three diverse vocalists.
Guitarist Keith Reins has a pleasantly weathered, reedy voice; Brad Pouleson (mandolin, whistles, uillean pipes) offers a clear tenor; and fiddler Tara Dutcher (McGovern) applies her lovely, bell-toned voice to a pair of beauties; Joe Dutcher (bodhran) supplies steady rhythmic propulsion.
The ensemble playing is organic, buoyant and graceful; this melodic gem is recommended to all fans of the genre.
