 Bobby Womack Biography
One of the principal architects of 1960s R&B and soul, Artist combined songwriting genius--his material has been covered by countless artists in a myriad of genres--with a sinuous blues-derived guitar style that was equally influential. He played guitar on Sly Stone's THERE'S A RIOT GOIN' ON, sang with the Stones, toured with Sam Cooke, wrote for Wilson Pickett, and that's just the tip of the iceberg.
