Daughtry Biography
Artist is the rock band fronted by singer-songwriter Chris Artist. The eponymous frontman is one in a series of artists who, while not victorious on the popular television show AMERICAN IDOL, were given tremendous career boosts thanks to their appearances there (however brief). Artist finished fifth overall in 2006, and started his band immediately after elimination. His brand of heartfelt angst-tinged rock proved enormously successful, a testament as much to the power of AMERICAN IDOL as to the talent of Artist himself.
