||Over And Over CD (1991) |
An album of Christian dance music, with a certain accent on real live players (though they all sound happily electronic.) Bell has a nice voice, though it's a bit thin for the walloping great sound that the producers lay on her. The songs themselves are mostly religious numbers, with the odd love song tossed in for variety, and, like many religious songs fall down by tossing responsibility for personal existence into the lap of a deity. This sort of message-filled copout isn't overcome by the musical qualities of the album, unfortunately, and Bell's small voice reduces the interest even further. ~ Steven McDonald
