Donny Hathaway Biography
Donny Hathaway CD discography An immensely talented producer, vocalist, songwriter, musician and arranger, Artist got his big break after meeting Cutis Mayfield, who hired Hathaway as producer for his Curtom label. After producing a wide variety of artists for various labels, Hathway was signed to Atlantic as a solo artist. His greatest commercial success, however, came from his R&B/pop duet recordings with Roberta Flack. Though seemingly destined for superstardom, Artist ended his career prematurely by committing suicide in 1979.
