Here 'Tis CD (1987)
Here 'Tis! was originally scheduled to appear on record store shelves in 1984, but the entire project was then shelved until '87, and The Crawdaddys had split up by the time it was released. By 1984, original Crawdad Steve Potterf had left the group, and Ron Silva was left in charge of the songwriting department. And while the R&B covers are as enticing as those on Express -- particularly Chuck Berry's "Thirty Days" and Leiber/Stoller's "That is Rock and Roll" -- the originals are less sneering and more pristinely crafted, using soul rather than the blues as the primary backbone. So, despite Silva's great "You're Gonna Need My Love Someday," Here 'Tis is mostly nostalgic reminiscing. ~ Matt Carlson
Recorded between 1982 & 1984. Includes liner notes by Ron Silva.
Crawdaddys: Ron Silva (vocals, guitar, maracas); Philip Michael Miesner (guitar, harmonica); Jack Lopez (guitar); Steve Horn (flute, saxophone); Fred Sanders (harmonica, piano, bass); Mike Dixson Stax (bass); Gordon Moss (drums).
