Artist--centered around the three George Brothers--first became known for spawning rap's "Roxanne" phenomenon by penning UTFO's 1985 hit of the same name. They followed by scoring a pair of hits the next year, providing R&B vocal-harmony counterpoint to Lisa Lisa & Cult Jam on the freestyle anthem "I Wonder If I Take You Home" and the timeless ballad "All Cried Out." However, it was as one of the music world's most prolific and sought-after producing teams that the Brooklyn-based outfit made an enduring name.
