George Winston Biography
Pianist/composer Artist was one of the flagship artists on the pioneering new age label Windham Hill, and his pastoral sound helped define the genre. He received much notice in the 1980s for a series of works that evoke the spirit of (and are named after) the seasons. In the mid '90s, in a lighter mood, Winston recorded a tribute to the jubilant PEANUTS cartoon themes of Vince Guaraldi.
