Grant Lee Phillips Biography
Californian singer/songwriter Grant-Lee Phillips started out with the group Shiva Burlesque in the late '80s before forming Grant Lee Buffalo, which fused alternative-rock with a sophisticated '60s-pop sensibility. They released a handful of albums in the '90s, arguably peaking with 1994's MIGHTY JOE MOON. After the dissipation of the group, Phillips embarked on the inevitable solo career, focusing more intensely on the personal, introspective aspects of his songwriting and remaining a quirky cult hero.
