Dry as a Bone/Rehab Doll CD (1987)
The members of Green River parted in 1987 and went on to play in a multitude of famous Seattle bands including Mudhoney, Soundgarden, Mother Love Bone and Pearl Jam.
Primarily recorded at Reciprocal Recording, Seattle, Washington in June 1986 and July 1987 and Steve Lawson Productions, Seattle, Washington from August 1987 to January 1988.
Due to the fact that they helped create the whole grunge sound, and that band members went to form such renowned bands as Mudhoney and Pearl Jam, the Green River legend has achieved mythic proportions over the years. But the group only managed to issue a total of three EP's in its short existence.
The two mini-albums REHAB DOLL and DRY AS A BONE were previously hard to find in their original pressing. At nearly an hour in length, you'll get a good sampling of this influential band. Highlights include a cover of David Bowie's "Queen Bitch" and the Dead Boys' "Ain't Nothing to Do," as well as such charming originals as "Swallow My Pride," "This Town," and "Unwind." If you like your music born and bred in the garage or in sleazy punk clubs, then you're sure to love DRY AS A BONE/REHAB DOLL.

Come On Down CD (1985)
There are several debut albums you can pinpoint as the true birth of the famed Seattle grunge sound--the Melvins' 10 SONGS, Soundgarden's SCREAMING LIFE, Screaming Trees' CLAIRVOYANCE, and of course, Green River's 1985 release, COME ON DOWN. Although Green River wouldn't gain as much acclaim as the aforementioned bands, breaking up by 1988, its members would find their niche in future successful Seattle bands--Mark Arm and Steve Turner in Mudhoney, and Jeff Ament and Stone Gossard in Pearl Jam.
The six-song EP COME ON DOWN laid the groundwork for Green River's other two mini-albums DRY AS A BONE and REHAB DOLL. It's blazing punk with a metallic edge, raw and obnoxious, as evidenced by such tracks as "Swallow My Pride," a song Soundgarden would later cover on their FOPP EP.
