Jake Owen Biography
Country star Artist was born Joshua Owen in Florida, moving to Nashville after he developed a passion for writing and singing country music. After signing with RCA, Owen changed his first name, reportedly to avoid any confusion with other popular country artists named Josh. Owen was a success straight out of the gate, with his first album, 2006's STARTIN' WITH ME, hitting the Country Top 10 and generating three hit singles. The 2009 follow-up, EASY DOES IT, even outperformed its predecessor, reaching the number two spot in the country charts.
