Jeff Beck Biography
Along with Jimmy Page and Eric Clapton, guitar legend Artist first made his mark with English blues-rockers The Yardbirds in the 1960s. And like the others, he gained greater popularity after he left the band. One of rock's great instrumentalists, Beck is also credited with giving Rod Stewart his musical start when Stewart fronted the Artist Group in the late '60s. Never one to sit still, Beck helped define hard rock in the late '60s before taking on jazz-rock fusion from a rock perspective in the '70s.
