Josh Blackburn music CDs Josh Blackburn grew up in Jackson, MS, waking up, strumming, writing, and being a vulnerable teenager to the harsh world of private school living. After that, he went to the University of Mississippi where he enjoyed strumming, writing, and playing with a great band in Oxford, MS called Freeman's Ride. After college, he moved to Nashville, TN where he stopped playing music and decided to live in the world of normality. He soon realized that he was not normal, so he returned to his passion of strumming, writing, and playing for various adventures. One was Disney. One was a band called ESKRA. And so on. After his quick one year adventure to Nashville, he moved to Destin, FL. Here he enjoyed strumming, writing, and playing cover songs for your listening pleasure at the world famous Hogs Breath Saloon. During the summer of 2003 he wrote his first album "Brand New Something." At this time he started playing frequently at a bar called Funky Blues Shack.
