On the Verge CD (2005)
Martine Locke albums Elvis has Colonel Tom Parker, the Beatles had Brian Epstein. Martine Locke has.....
well, Martine Locke. This Australian singer/songwriter/guitarist is a one-woman operation: publicist, manager, booking agent, record label owner, visionary, producer and artist.
Dividing her time between the US and Australia, Martine has toured with Ani DiFranco and rocked the stage with The Cowboy Junkies, Arlo Guthrie and Luka Bloom. In a scene that is packed with unoriginal four chord flops, Martine reaches well outside with a more independent, passionate perspective on music. Her music is "so powerful that itdemands attention". And while the Ani comparison is there, she also shares vocal qualities with Melissa Etheridge or the Indigo Girls.
Musically she travels far in the folk-rock world. Some tunes will remind you of Counting Crows and others will bring in that Alanis Morissette association, with a sting of Carol King sneaking in here and there.
She also applies do-it-yourself ethics with all the work she churns out. Her first solo album, released in 1994, was completely self produced and sold over 8,000 copies in her native country - an impressive hurdle for a solo musician on any island.

Live At The Irving CD (2012)

Some would say that it was this formative experience that prepared Martine for the life of an itinerant musician. Traveling the world in search ...

Undone CD (2008)
Martine Locke discography Undone refers to the story being told. As you'll hear, this work is anything but Undone. It's Australian singer/songwriter, Martine Locke's third solo release and her most sophisticated work to date as she's chosen to team up with recording engineer and producer Evan Brubaker (Cake Records, Forgiveness Studios) and acclaimed musicians Julie Wolf (Ani DiFranco, Bruce Cockburn), Vicki Randle (The Tonight Show Band), Pam Delgado (Blame Sally), Mike Grigoni (Anais Mitchell) and Darin Watkins. Unquestionably rock, Locke brings in elements of country, blues, even a hint of gospel, to underscore the complex story lines of loss, love, endings, and passion. Twelve songs - a mixture of surging melodies, hard rocking riffs, and ...

Fly CD (2002)
Martine Locke songs Born in a caravan park in Australia's Outback, Martine Locke has literally emerged from nowhere. Her name, chosen from a phone book, today evokes these responses from music reviewers:
