Missile CD (2000)
This E.P., from Chicago trio Missile, is actually a teaser for the band's actual debut, 2001's Up. Once. Around. Down. -- its entire program appears on that LP. Nevertheless, Missile isn't afraid to show off what the band does best. When Don Weaver screams "YEAH!" and rhymes "'cause you can" with "like a man" in the chorus to "Push," there's a temptation to turn this Missile out. But the track soon proves spunky, giddily inserting that same raucous yell in the center of your brain. "Princess" slows things down a bit, opting for an almost XTC-like lilt, while "Wish" shifts gears again, this time piloting Missile toward more melodic, less histrionic territory than the opening track. Power pop fans should get a kick out of Missile. Even if the occasional lyrical flub tarnishes its housing, the band is more than happy to keep trying to put the 'rock' back in 'rocket'. ~ Johnny Loftus
The variety of bands to whom others have compared Missile -- XTC, Weezer, Cheap Trick, Elvis Costello, Jellyfish, Television, the Plimsouls, Velvet Crush, Charletons UK, Soul Asylum, Guided by Voices and Shudder to Think -- is evidence of their passion for the genre and the dynamic range of their song writing.

Welcome To The End Of My Rope CD (2003)
"Welcome to the end of my rope" is a cohesive collection of twisted pop gems. And the perfect follow up to Missile's well received debut, "up. once around. down."
Crashing power pop that belongs with the genre's timeless best.
- Alternative Press
...the great Chicago band Missile. Think classic XTC or Nick Lowe combined with Guided by Voices.
- Nuvo Magazine
It isn't true "pop," what Missile does, but something better: an amalgam of bands like Television, The Beatles, Soul Asylum, The Charlatans U.K., and glam rock.
- localmusic
Do you like pop rock with catchy guitar riffs? Are you a fan of smartly crafted songs with melodic choruses? If so, you need to get this band in your collection.
- Monster Magazine
Many of the songs ignite with a slow burn, then explode in all out angst that threatens to careen out of control. Catharsis is the operative word here, clever melodies that are anything but predictable.
- Whatz Up Magazine
Whip-smart pop from Chicago that adds a saccharin twist to that city's signature rock sound. The songs on the disc can range from sublime and sweet to missives that drip with scorn and sarcasm.- HomeGrownBuzz

Up. Once Around. Down. CD (2001)
Missile CD discography "up. once around. down." was #12 on the CMJ Top Radio Adds 1.
29.
02 and spent six weeks on the CMJ Top 200 chart.
Started as a mere studio remedy for Don Weaver's cathartic addiction, Missile's first EP found ears in Chicago that landed Don show offers before he even had a band. Then, backed by the controlled chaos of Jeff Holtorf on drums and Josh Hines on bass, Missile honed their lean three-piece punch leaving audiences amazed at how much sound three skinny guys can muster-and laughing out loud at the lyrics that almost anyone can relate to.
The variety of bands to whom others ...
