Onyx CD (2013) Top Seller
Pop Evil CD discography Released in 2011, War of Angels found hard-hitting, Western Michigan-based rockers Pop Evil delivering a solid slab of AOR rock UFC anthems that explored the notion of reinvention. Pop Evil continue to mine the rap/alt-rock/post-grunge sonic blast of the late '90s/early 2000s with dizzying results on their third album, Onyx, which was produced by Johnny K (Drowning Pool, Staind, Disturbed, Megadeth). The band offers up ten relentless new songs, including the blistering single "Trenches," that manage to introduce darker themes and clever stylistic shifts into the mix while maintaining the gritty yet accessible Midwestern backbone that won Pop Evil favor with the hard rock community in the first place.

War of Angels CD (2011) Top Seller
Pop Evil albums Based out of the industrial, lakeside town of Muskegon, Michigan's Pop Evil specialize in the kind of hard-hitting, relatively simplistic, AOR rock that dominates radio stations with names like "The Hammer" and "The Grind." Cut from the same pair of ripped-up jeans as acts like Hinder, Daughtry, and Nickelback, Pop Evil's sophomore effort, War of Angels, is about as solid a modern, post-grunge record as one could hope for; cuts like opener "Last Man Standing," the token ballad "Let it Go," and the vamped-up, Buckcherry-esque sex romp "Boss's Daughter" sound like they've been on modern rock radio since the late '90's -- but it breaks little new ground. ~ James Christopher Monger
