Full Circle CD (2008)
Rocket 88 was formed in the summer of 2005 and played their first show at Two Stick in Oxford, MS on June 6 of that same year. Since then, Rocket 88 has brought its Mississippi soaked roots rock sound to some of the best venues from Memphis, Tenn. to Baton Rouge, La.
The band consists of members Rosamond Posey (vocals, rhythm guitar) from Vicksburg, MS; Jamison Posey (vocals, lead guitar, harmonica) from Meridian, MS; Nathan Robbins (bass) from Pontotoc, MS; Robert Chaffe (keyboards, organ) from New Orleans, LA; and Ryan Rogers (Drums) from Forest, MS.
Having been described as everything from "juke joint gospel", to straight ahead rock and roll, Rocket 88 is self-described as being influenced by the music of the region and town they call home. The band describes their sound as drawing from a veritable melting pot of influences that they have been exposed to since they were young such as gospel, traditional country, 70's rock, 90's alternative country and delta and hill country blues.
By September 2006, Rocket 88 had played Oxford's Double Decker Arts festival, Thacker Mountain Radio Show, and Baton Rouge's Fest for All festival, despite being less than a year old. Rocket 88's first recorded song, "Highway", was selected from a field of over 50 regional and local bands to appear on the Fest for All Compilation CD Vol .4.
Rocket 88's debut album, "Full Circle" scheduled for release March 29, 2008 was recorded at Tweed Recording, mastered at Tap Root Audio Design by Jeffery Reed and co-produced by Rocket 88 and Andrew Ratcliffe.

Rocket 88 CD (1981)
This was the best record Korner had made since 1962, and featured a core membership of former acolytes--Charlie Watts, Jack Bruce, and Ian Stewart. The sound is as much jazz as blues-influenced, it was all cut live on tour of Europe, and nobody involved ever sounded better, happier, or more relaxed. This was both Korner's and Stewart's final effort. ~ Bruce Eder
